Those were intended to have sequels though.
The Hangover 3 only exists because it makes money. That's what they do these days. A movie made a ton of money? Make sequels until they stop making money. The endless sequels only happened with campy horror movies back in the day. Now it happens with everything.

It's only going to get worse with Kickstarter involved now too. Now directors/producers/film companies will have less of their own money invested and will be comfortable with putting out a shite product as long as people show up for it.
I'm hoping if the Lone Rangers of the world keep flopping that maybe they'll lose enough money with those kind of productions that it'll turn the tide.

Have you seen the Braves schedule for the rest of the season? They play two teams with winning records. The Cards... which they swept last week, and Cleveland.

I've seen Fern Gully. It's almost the same thing.
