We've had a lot of that around here with the weather going from 50s one day to 15 the next. My Mom went to pick up the codeine syrup her doc called in and that as well as the inhaler was on back order at her regular pharmacy.

This is the first time I've gotten sick this season. I got lucky because the first go around everyone was sick but me.

I handle chemicals every day and wash my hands it seems 20 times a day. Hardly ever sick. Got sick before Christmas and missed almost a week of work not long ago with the crap.

What's grooving in your world tonight?

Vicodin, tramadol, caffeine and guitar. Sitting at home, alone with my two hounds, working on a new song. One chorus away from being finished. Having a helluva, helluva good time.

Yea, the weather is just nasty. My cattle dog doesn't care about weather so when I let him out he runs like a fool, then I let him back in and have to basically bathe him every time.

Copywriter for a living, song writer for the hell of it. I write everything from mainstream rock to spoken word accompanied by music. I'm in a band and play solo too. I play acoustic guitar and harmonica.

Post what? Lyrics or link to the song? It'll be awhile before I record the song—not that the world is holding its breath in anticipation.

Any and all when you get it. Folks are always looking for good music to listen to. I've found more artists I really like surfing youtube and hardly ever listen to the radio anymore. Today's "pop" music is lacking so much now. There's very little musical styles I don't like.

Okay, here are the lyrics to the song I just finished. It's called "This Is What Friends Are For":

Quentin he died in a car crash in Texas
Susan got married again
flowers of stories of funerals of weddings
this is what friends are for
this is what friends are for

Cindy and Jerry they split up like atoms
Cindy she cries all the time
I got a guest pass to swim in her tears
this is what friends are for
this is what friends are for

here in the sea of 10 billion orbits
prayers won't get you to shore
cling to the raft of my fleeting compassion
this is what friends are for
this is what friends are for

Karen's got cancer she's writing a book
her daughter she's strung out on pills
sometimes it seems like bad luck's contagious
this is what friends are for
this is what friends are for

Rachael found Jesus, stopped sleeping around
in love with her saviour she claims
she asked me not to call her again
this is what friends are for
this is what friends are for

when there's no high ground
no sanctuary
nothing to weather the storm
reach for these hands
washed clean of deception
this is what friends are for
this is what friends are for

Ronne held hostage his TV screen
they cancelled his program he said
he sold all his shite and flew to Peru
this is what friends are for
this is what friends are for

Blake was a lawyer in a big high rise
he jumped from the 33rd floor
me I still got his old business card
this is what friends are for
this is what friends are for

I been a good friend and a bad one too
too late to count up the score
if anyone asks, just tell 'em the truth
this is what friends are for
this is what friends are for
this is what friends are for

Still there? The verses are in D and 2 variations of A/D ... the choruses are in D, G and the 2 A/D variations. Anyway, feel free to love or hate the song; I like it, so I'll play it.
