Texas.

I wouldn't have to hear how much better Texas is than everywhere else, when it's really not much better.

Thought about Texas—then if they really are so much better, they won’t be dragged down by everyone else and I could move there

Texas is the only state that could survive on it's own.

Hawaii and/or California will fall into the ocean before this.

I really don't mean it, just wanted to put something other than the usual states.

Only steers and you know what come from Tejas

Et1: plus I know a majority of posters are from or live/have lived in Texas. Gotta stir the shite every now and then to create chaos.

What state had the highest percentage of Trump voters? That would be my vote, lowest common denominator and stuff.

Fyi, list of 10 poorest (and likely least educated states):

quote:

49. West Virginia – Median household income: $41,059  Poverty rate: 18.3%
48. Arkansas – Median household income: $41,262  Poverty rate: 18.9%
47. Alabama – Median household income: $42,830  Poverty rate: 19.3%
46. Kentucky – Median household income: $42,958  Poverty rate: 19.1%
45. Tennessee – Median household income: $44,361  Poverty rate: 18.3%
44. Louisiana – Median household income: $44,555  Poverty rate: 19.8%
43. New Mexico – Median household income: $44,803  Poverty rate: 21.3%
42. South Carolina – Median household income: $45,238  Poverty rate: 18.0%
41. Montana – Median household income: $46,328  Poverty rate: 15.4%

Now states that voted the most for trump:

quote:

West Virginia - 68.7 percent

Oklahoma - 65 percent

Alabama - 63.1 percent

North Dakota - 63 percent

Kentucky - 62.5 percent

South Dakota - 61.5 percent

Arkansas - 60.6 percent

Nebraska - 60.3 percent

Idaho - 59.3 percent

Louisiana - 58.1 percent

That is not how the plates work in CA. Hence the Sierras. The coast is moving closer to the east.

You are stuck with the west coast fellas.

No. The San Andreas is a slip-strike fault. The Pacific plate is moving to the northwest, while the North American plate is moving to the southwest. In a few million years, LA will be in Oregon.

Also interesting is that when there is megathrust activity at the Cascadia subduction zone, the coast will drop a couple of meters. Researchers have discovered ghost forests and marshes indicating a geologically recent one in 1700 AD.

So, I suppose that Portland, Vancouver, and Seattle could sink in the next few million years, and LA might be where they once were.
