My mother in law is in assisted living nd getting to the point where she can't feed herself. My wife got a hernia trying to move her last week. She's a couple days out of surgery now.

Looks like a Whataburger Thanksgiving.

Perfect in so many ways.

Sorry you were born into a family of Communists. It's the best holiday of the year.

Well said, and thank you.

Thanksgiving Eve is the biggest going out night of the year. Even if you don't like dry turkey and the Detroit Lions, get out on the town the night before and party. Support your local bars.

Well...not ideal, but I did warn her that lifting her mother was the responsibility of the staff.

I had the opportunity to say "I told you so", but I've lived with this woman for 40 years and I know when I'm pressing my luck.

I'm not trying to be funny or start anything foul, but I didn't know men went to Baby Showers, I always thought it was a Women's thing, is that similar to a gender reveal thingy?

I really don't know anything about them

Brine that Turkey and then bake it or if you have access to one Big Green Egg that thing

There's tons of how-to Videos all over YouTube, there's no reason for anyone to suffer thru dry Turkey syndrome with all the help available on YouTube

Good luck

I have a spouse and children, but my parents but most of my family is deceased. We will spend Thanksgiving at home and invite friends.

I don't at all.

IMO better than Christmas because it's a set day.
4th Thursday in November.

I think 4th of July and Christmas should just be the same as well.

Yes.
Just call it Independence Day and make it the first Monday in July.
Market closed that Monday and a nice 3 day weekend
Instead we get some random middle of the week day off
Same with Christmas
Make it the 4th Friday or Monday in December

You're also the guy who didn't know how his own health insurance works.

Why would you miss any football games? Just watch them with your family like everyone else in America.

Instead I got to deal with stress of travel, all kinds of kids and shite and dealing with family members who I only talk with once a year which is awkward a large frick

Sorry you AND your family are shitty people.

I've got to disagree. Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday. It's really about good food, family & friends, and taking the time to consciously reflect on the many blessing in your life.

No gifts to buy, no expectations to fall short of by not getting the right gift.

If you hate it, change it. It wasn't my favorite until I was an adult and we started doing it at our house.
