How many 4 year traditional public and private Universities reside in your State?
I noticed the other day Alabama apparently has more public Universities than Tennessee.

Public Universities in Tennessee- 9
Private- 30

Approximately 24% of traditional students in Tennessee go to a private University.

Arkansas: 10 and 10

10 public 4-year colleges (5 are in the University of Arkansas System), too many honestly for a small state.

University of Arkansas-Fayetteville
UA-Fort Smith
UA-Little Rock
UA-Pine Bluff
UA-Monticello

Arkansas State University
University of Central Arkansas
Arkansas Tech University
Southern Arkansas University
Henderson State University

10 private 4 year colleges.

Way to many for a state with Mississippi’s population.

We are blessed with an overabundance of small colleges in this state. Consolidate them into 5 colleges and we'd be able to invest more money per school and offer a higher quality of education.

re: How many 4 year traditional public and private Universities reside in your State?
public 8 - UK, Morehead St, UL, EKU, NKU, WKU (why isn’t there an SKU), Murray St, Kentucky St

Private (universities only, not colleges, no for-profit schools) - 10 - Asbury, Bellarmine, Midway, Thomas More, Transylvania, Pikeville, Brescia, Campbellsville, Cumberlands, Kentucky Christian. I didn’t count Frontier Nursing which is a not for profit nursing grad school.
