Model Predicted rainfall through Monday.

So we have Patricia down by the W coast of Mexico south of Baja. She's a Category 5 per airplane recon and probably getting stronger still.

Pulling up a whole lot of water from the super warm EPAC as you can see.

Then it is going piss all the water out directly at Texas. Much like Jaoquin did to South Carolina.

Texans float lakes and rivers like its our job. Give us an inner tube and tie a cooler full of beer to our ankle and we'll ride this bitch out.

Y'all aren't totally awful.

Look at the river opening up for y'all. I'd be prepared to float two coolers, just in case.

Yeah that was madness. I hope it doesn't get that bad down there again.

Awesome gif, Duke.

I've never heard of a Cat 5 hurricane on the west coast of Mexico. That has to be terrifying for Mexico since they will get the brunt of Patricia's destructive effects. I feel sorry for the Mexicans and the Texicans who will suffer from this storm.

It's pretty rare to get a Cat 5 (and likely a very strong Cat 5) in those waters but it's right where those El Nino waters are loaded with heat. 30C and higher.

So close to landfall too. I hope they have time to evacuate.

Now THAT is an impressive eye wall. Whoa...

WTF did SC and TX do to piss off Mother Nature so bad? Hmmm...I think the original SEC teams are responsible for this since we're both expansion teams. Watch out Arky and Mizzou...y'all are next.

I'm staying up to see the recon. Will be interesting to get actual data from a storm this strong near peak intensity.

El Nino makes for crazy fall into spring for the SE. This El Nino is likely to peak as the strongest ever recorded. This is just the start of some crazy weather.

ETA: 891 mb!

Katrina was 905 mb at peak for reference.

Pressure 880 mb
Winds 200 mpH and gusts to 240.

Strongest hurricane ever recorded in the western hemisphere.

Maybe it'll wash all the Texans back to Mexico.
