"Come to Jesus Moment"
Girlfriend was ready to leave me and my personal life was in shambles. I gave all I am to Christ, followed his ways, and it hasn't been the same since. My life is my religious experience because everyday I wake up with a purpose and a feeling of meaning. Blessings pour in and battles are fought, I wouldn't have it any different.

No, can't really say that I have. Nothing like what people typically describe when talking about such things.

Probably a personality thing in my case, though.

On January 1, 1992, after a New Year's Eve debauch and 24 years of heavy, daily alcohol consumption, I quit drinking. I just had the feeling that I was being cut off by an unseeable, untouchable power. Haven't had a drink since then--and just as important nary a temptation in all that time.

This qualifies as a religious experience for me.

I'm not sure why you're mad at me?

Sarge, you complete me. I swear I'm not mad at you. I like you. And not the fake kind like I did when I started saying I liked ya. It's real now.

If you could put that in a pill and market it, you would be one of the richest people in the country.

Thank you for sharing. I really appreciate it everyone.

It hasn't happened for me yet, but I try to think I have an open mind.

After 7 years of Obama, I feel like I've been arse raped by a Catholic priest. Does that count?

I don't adhere to any major religion and I could be considered pretty much agnostic. However I have experimented with psychedelics, and I can say I've experienced moments that I could call "spiritually significant".

It sounds like a cop out but it would be pretty much impossible for me to write here about revelations inside of an LSD experience. Imagine becoming momentarily aware of things happening around you on both a micro and macro scale and realizing the scope of your human life as just a thread woven in the vast stream of space and history. Heavy stuff, lifting the veil of maya and all that.

I feel like whether you're religious or not, personal revelations like this are something natural that the human psyche strives towards. It's always interesting reading others' accounts of stuff like this.

No, I've had emotional experiences but nothing I'd call religious or supernatural.

In a run down motel room near mile 56 of the Parks Hwy between Wasilla and Willow, empty whisky bottle, drank my whole paycheck, a decent country cover band playing old country music drifting through the hallway. Never felt more alone. Looked in a cracked mirror and stared at myself for a good 10 minutes and realized I had to quit drinking or die. An amazing peace came over me.

First son only lived for a week, had 5% chance of being born alive. He did that, when he was born a bright light glowed around him. I thought it was just my imagination. The doctor, nurses everybody in the room seen it. Wild

I really think everyone should take LSD at least once. The complete erosion of one's ego along with the hyper awareness of one's surroundings while on LSD is amazing. It was life changing for me.

As for a religious experience, I can't say I've ever really had one. I've had a few things happen in life that when I step back and look at all the things that had to fall into place for those events to occur, it's hard to chalk up as just coincidence. But nothing about them were really religious in nature.

I probably thought I did in high school. Nothing since then.
