I lost my taste for sardines when one of my coworkers liked microwaving his sardines to eat them hot. Stunk up the whole doghouse on the rig. He did the same thing with Vienna sausages.

Used sardines to bait my traps when I was kid, would eat a few of them then

I’m fighting hard to avoid statins. I’m already on bp meds but due to genetics, I may have to give in. Good to know about the red rice yeast.

I thought the same thing about nuking sardines.

Twelve years ago my cholesterol numbers were in range, but my triglycerides were through the roof, and then I had a heart attack. I dieted and exercised and lost about 20 pounds, but the triglycerides were still high. My doctor put me on Vascepa about five years ago and my triglyceride level is now well in range. It's expensive, but I'll stay on it.
