As a person with some felony arrests I lobbied hard to not lose my civil rights. I was thankful to serve federal jury duty last September. Just show up it's gonna take maybe 2-3 days of your work week, boohoo

I've been summoned 5 times. Served 4 times before I was 26. The last one was a little over a yr ago. Self employeed now, so they excused me from it.
If you're not self employeed, go and do it. If you get a case, you'll learn something about the judicial system. Of the times I went:
Served on a grand jury - 3 weeks, first week for three consecutive months
Served on a District Court case - 3 hrs into trial, plea bargain reached, excused to go home on a Tuesday
Served on a Federal criminal court - dismissed on Wed after not being called
Served on a District Court case - dismissed on Wed after not being called
Be sure to take plenty of reading material.

Tell them you work for an insurance company or your dad is a sheriff's deputy. But you should serve at least once to get a full appreciation of how fricked our judicial system is.

I was called as soon as I moved to Baton Rouge and was called every two years, almost to the day, after that for a while. Went & sat in the jury pool room for approximately 3 days every time & was never called except once, when I actually got picked for a home invasion armed robbery trial that involved a five-year-old boy. We sent the POS to Angola for 40 years. The only time I ever got out of it, I had the flu & got my doctor to fax the judge.

Tell them you hate black people. Instant dismissal.

Tell them that you believe that the court system is bullshite and that everyone should be released.

Tell them you make your decisions based on a gut feeling and you don't even have to hear the testimony to know if someone is guilty or innocent. They will let you right off.

Draw it on with a sharpie. It'll work double wonders.

Just pick a stance and be very extreme about it.
This would probably work, but I'll echo what others have said and say do it unless it will be a legitimate financial hardship.
I've been called three times and would actually like to serve, but I work for a law enforcement agency. I'm a dead man walking when voir dire starts.

Go to the Walmarks and have 'em do. Include a Kige "I agree with this" pic underneath as well.

It would definitely get me out of there with a quickness.

I guess a purple and gold David Duke name tag would work just the same...

I actually saw both of these tactics attempted during voire dire. The judge, who looked like a badass & was known for having a pistol under his robe, was not very pleased. He kept looking menacingly over his glasses at them while they were being questioned by the attorneys. Finally, he questioned them & excused them, but told them to wait in the jury holding room until after he was done. No one else tried it after that.

couldn't you just tell them you read or about the crime and you are ready to help put that POS away for life. Doesn't matter about the crime. I think that's instant DQ

I don't even know what case I am getting summoned for. Just said to be at the court house on April 1st.

I wouldn't worry about telling the truth if you want out of jury duty.
unless you hate black people, which in that case tell the truth loud and proud. possibly even inform them immediately that you know it is relevant because without a doubt a black man committed this crime as they do with all other crimes.
