Also avoid the 1604/I-10 interchange during rush hour.

that and the 410/35 interchange. when i'm in town for a meeting near the airport i tell him i'm leaving at 2 or getting a swank hotel and ordering GD steak and lobster on his card.

i will say the worst traffic jam of san antonio is light years better than the best in DFW, Austin, or Houston.

Go to the Lonestar Floathouse north of New Braunfels and float their longest stretch. That part of the guadelupe is gorgeous and it's a good time.

Lytle, Texas

Problem identified That ain't SA, foo'! My family thought about buying land out there between Lytle and Natalia back when we thought we'd be moving to the area around 2002. Decided against it cuz that's just way too far outside the city (and the first side of town you hit is Lackland AFB territory, so frick that noise ).

North side of town is where it's at. NW, North Central, and NE (in that order ).

You could go to chart house for dinner at the tower of Americas. Do it at night though.

Rosario's is damn fine Tex Mex, maybe the best I've ever had. I don't go to SA often but it's a must when I do

Its perfect. The Riverwalk is awesome. I don't how more people don't fall into this thing. I almost fell in twice last night.

We drank for a while at the Esquire last night. Fantastic bar.

There's a very not good Mexican food place there as well.

Lytle ain't SA though. That's like judging New Orleans by visiting Houma.

Whoever bought a business in Lytle...

Small Tackle company. Owned by a old friend. He passed away and his wife ran the business a couple of years after. Eventually it was to much for her and I bought it and merged it into my existing tackle company.

Was a very good purchase. Other than that "having to go to Lytle Texas thing".

I was there a few days and it was amazing how hard it was to find a hotel. I basically traveled all the way back to the outskirts of San Antonio and the best place I could find was the La Quinta inn. Holy shite.

No thank you
