Terrifying model shows what avid gamers could look like in just 20 years
quote:

The team has created a model called Michael, who doesn’t look too well.

To create Michael, the team looked at research reports looking into the physical effects of staying indoors, sat in a chair while staring at a screen.

The researchers explained: “The visualisation shows that Michael has pale and pasty skin from years of being in artificial light and the result of lack of Vitamin D and B-12. He has stress-related eczema across his legs and arms and a permanently bent back from poor posture.”

I’m worried about the future of our society. A voice crying out in the wilderness. The end is nigh. Reform your ways.

That’s what people said when television became popular.

It will become a normal part of society.

Watches 2 hours of tv total during the week. Spends more time outside exercising than watching tv.

Well, thank goodness I don't game.

My job requires I work in front of a computer screen for at least eight hours per day, five days per week. However, I spend most of my weekends outside, and now that we're back to longer days and warmer weather, I can go on evening runs after work while the sun is still out.

I become miserable when I don't get enough exposure to natural sunlight. February and March were unusually rainy in Tennessee this year, and I swear I didn't see a ray of sunlight for two straight weeks. We've been blessed with drier weather and lots of sunshine since late March, but now my allergies are paying the admission price xD

To tell you the truth, I almost never watch TV, and I don't game at all nor do I binge watch shows online. However, I waste a good chunk of free time browsing the internet. Sometimes, it's to stay informed, but other times I just like to decompress and post on forums like these. I post on a few different sports forums, and that's where I'm wasting my free time in front of a screen.

And here I am posting at 3:30am because I can't fall back asleep. I'm just making it worse, because studies have shown blue light from cell phones screw up your sleep.

Yeah but that much masturbation can cause chafing. You should only exercise your large or, as case may be, small muscle group 2-3 times a day max.

I’ve never seen the allure of spending hours staring at the talky-box.

And no-I’m not a Boomer.

Just went for a quick 3 mile run. Think I’m gonna game for the rest of the day.

Ain’t nothing you can do about it
