I love how some people accept scientific evidence for nearly everything but when it conflicts their religion they suddenly become experts

Finding an ape species doesn't equal human evolution. If you wish to believe man drug knuckles and ate their own shite, have at it. I don't believe it to be so and don't believe findings support that.

I'm no expert. I also don't believe man can 500 million yrs after the fact concretely say they have the answers to how man came into being. That's simply arrogant.

This fricking argument

Just because it doesn't match up with your view of humans doesn't make it not true

I don't believe it to be so and don't believe findings support that.

How can you deny obvious fact?

That's like saying the sky isn't blue. Really. The evidence is that clear

So we shouldn't try to find out? And it's not like a group of smart scholars just decided at one time to support evolution. There's this stuff called research that has over the decades defended the current ideas of evolution.

Never said we shouldn't try to learn more and discount science. Just saying science and theories change the more information comes to light. As it is, some treat science as a religion in itself, only to learn their belief in it can be changed with new discoveries. I don't believe science conflicts with my belief of a God in any way. On the otherhand, those that rely completely on science fear things they can't explain with science. Heck, some scientists claim the universe is finite. Even though there is no way to reconcile the fact we are limited in measurements. No way they can measure to the edge of trillion triliion miles away. Nor can they reconcile the mass of the universe coming from a subatomic particle. Many today have problems with the big bang and many others take it as gospel...pardon the pun.

Either you are a really good troll, or you are scientifically illiterate.

Theory in science means all of the evidence is consistent, and by golly we've got the subject licked. Electromagnetic field theory is fact. Theory of relativity is fact. Theory of evolution is fact. You're confusing the layman's definition of theory and the scientific definition of theory.

So because they change we shouldn't accept it when the evidence currently overwhelmingly supports it?

And no, science is in no way like a religion. It's based on facts.

... The universe is constantly expanding and finite.

Here you are acting like an expert when you just claimed not to be

I hate that shite. It's seriously a pet peeve of mine.

My theory is that [insert idea] happened, is not a theory. It's a hypothesis. All this bullshite about the theory of evolution and the theory of creationism deserving equal respect is just that...bullshite. Evolution is a theory. Creationism is a hypothesis. You don't study random hypotheses in science classes. You come up with your own, but you don't study them. You study theories and laws.

at the universe being finite. No way to prove this with the knowledge man now has. And if it is constantly expanding, then it will always have something to expand into.

Yeah..... I used the wrong term..

And I can agree Creationism is a hypothesis. One that science has not proven and cannot disprove.

Can't test for God.

We do have a theory with a plethora of research that does an extremely good job explaining how the variety of species on earth have come about through natural selection. There's no reason to debate evolution, hell the Catholic Church doesn't. We still don't have the answers to how did life begin. You can say that's God and all I can say is "I don't know either."

In Texas, they just have the text book companies re-write the text to fit their version of history and science. I moved here from Alabama and I have been shocked at the amount of ignorant rednecks that hold office in the state of Texas.

bullshite. It's a theory. It's a model. It will be considered "factual" until a better model is put forth, such as a unified field theory.

Evolution is no different.

The universe expanded from a single point. It is not infinite.

Nice argument.

You realize infinity is not an obtainable amount, right?

Believe what you wish. It makes no matter to me. If you truly believe man can say how large or contained the universe is and that all he mass within it came from a single subatomic particle, that's your right.
