Well, it is either disingenuous or ignorant. I gave you the benefit of the doubt and assumed you knew a little about the book you were quoting. The fact is the rare time sphere is used in that verse is in modern translations and was changed from circle to meet with current understanding. The Bible was not clear on it at all, it has been changed.

You were indeed being dishonest when you cited the authority of the Bible and say it called the earth a sphere when every English version until very recently has used the word circle. The words circle and sphere mean very different (opposite) things in a discussion of flat earth.

The most interesting parts of the Bible, to me, are how it is said God molded us out of clay. And come to find out life on this planet most likely did form in clay to begin with.

Also the part about the number 666 being the number of man. Which is true. It's the atomic number of carbon. Which is what we are made of.

I read them all and the connections are ridiculously thin. The problem with the verse you cite here is it mentions nothing about disease processes and is in the context of slaughtering animals and handling of them.

Yes, you are one or both in the context you stated it. When talking about flat earth the words circle and sphere mean totally opposite things so conflating them is either disingenuous or stupid. You picked a very new and very rare translation to support your opinion. For the vast majority of the time the Bible has been translated into English the word circle was used, you picked the newer sphere version. If you had used the more traditional translation of circle it would have gone directly against your point.

If you aren't aware of the difference the words circle and sphere have in the context of a flat earth discussion you are ignorant, if you understand the difference but choose the rare translation in order to "cite authority" then you are disingenuous. You are simply one or the other here, I assumed one but you are working on proving the other.

So if the earth is flat, then are the sun, moon, and other planets also flat?

If we rotate around the sun, wouldn't we at some point get a sliver? Can't say I've witnessed a "sliver" sun.

I'm just posing this for the flat earthers.

What you call "ridiculously thin", I call amazing, considering the text was written thousands of years before science could verify the verses as fact! I believe that's what true science is: the legitimate uncovering of the way God has set the universe into motion, and the laws that govern how it works.

You can get diseases if you don't clean up after handling raw meat.

All that fuss over round objects!
