Everyone with an investment portfolio has a few stocks that will "make them rich" one day. Which ones are you most proud of? I'm specifically looking for companies you found on your own.

For instance, my high-risk/high-reward stock is ARWR (arrowhead research corp). I encourage you guys to take a look at that bad boy. Great buy-in price and the sky is the limit for the company!

There's a money talk board, you can probably find some good discussion over there.

Like any true OT Baller, I invested in Google in the late 90's. Now I sit at home bang OT 10's and make $50 million a week.

In all seriousness though, I don't have any investments thus far but I don't think investing in Google would be a bad thing because they are still growing and will continue to grow for the next few decades.

If I would have bought the exact same amount of Dell as I did beer in my younger days

I'd be filthy rich

Too rich for my blood. At $606 per share, its rather difficult accumulating enough shares to really take off.

I feel like this a subtle way to market selling of shares for a company you either founded or work for.

Which is illegal btw if you don't inform us of that fact

I wish I worked for/founded it. Discovering a functional cure for Hepatitis is a multi-billion dollar market. If I were to partake in insider trading, it would be rather idiotic to post it on the Rant...

Good call on Diamondback Energy. Didn't necessarily do extensive research, but it looks pretty nice! May have to dig a little deeper into it! RIG is an oil driller I really like as well. Especially for the price.

Going against trend, I invested in crack in the 80's

Due to my love of southern cooking, my crack investment has grown since then. While my bank account may not be large, my love of cheese grits and the like has been worth it.

I stick to mutual funds and annuities, yeah I know but I've already taken enough risks in my life.

I'm a long in the stock. Definitely not a pump & dump. It has high short interest right now, but also has large institutional ownership. AD day is coming up and they announced they were going to move it to New York city to make the announcement on the effectiveness of their ARC drug. Regardless, if the drug is a hit, a major player will buy them out for a large sum of money. If not, they will secure funds to continue research and become a multi-billion dollar organization on their own.

Microsoft in the 90's was my all time greatest.

Marriott's done well even after the recession.

General Dynamics did really well, I stuck with them through the recession.

I was disappointed in Pandora

Yeah, Pandora really fizzled out quickly. I thought that was going to be the next big thing. I had the opportunity to get in on Chipotle when they first became public. That baby exploded.
