I honestly have no idea. I know Bryan has some Asian massage joints with cheap happy endings but dont know the gay landscape of B/CS other than its essentially where queer rolling was invented.

When it first opened 5-6 years ago, SpeakEasy catered to a non-college, more adult crowd. They had 80s nights and 90s R&B nights. I'm not a dancer, but I had been there before and had fun. It was kind of cougary.

Knoxville has The Carousel. It was on the way back to my apartment from the normal bars when I was in school. I saw TT9 walk out of there every weekend.

Columbia has the SoCo club, it's the only one I'm sure of. But gay people go lots of places.

I-70 is one of the primary east-west highways across the US, and gets way more truck traffic than it was built for. It is a very heavily traveled interstate.
So, along I-70, yes, you'll see a lot of porn and sex stores - they're always right off the highway. And yes, there are a couple of huge boot stores. The other one you used to see a lot, for some reason, was walnut bowls.
All the XXX billboards are an eyesore. Growing up in southeast Missouri, I had no idea any of this crap was here. It's not down where I come from!

I've heard straight guys that don't act like morons can clean up in a gay bar. Just not sure I'd ever be able to jump the mental hurdle it would require.

I had a gay co-worker who had a super hot (female) roommate, whom he'd been best friends with for like 15 years. I was trying to make a good impression, so I agreed to go to the bar with them and see a my first and only drag show. I had to get drunk to not feel awkward.
But, alas, I never got to see the hot roommate's O-face
