This should have been the easiest election in history for the Republican party. Instead, they nominate the one person that couldn't beat Hillary.

Sorry, but simply not true.

This election is just like most all others. There's a good 40-45% or so on either side that will vote for the nominee of each party no matter who it is or what they've done. Those people simply aren't going to swap their votes.

This election, like pretty much every one post Reagan will be decided by two things - (1) which group of that 40/45% is more motivated to get to the polls. If one has a higher turnout, it is over and (2) whether or not that middle 15% breaks significantly either way. If they split, we're back to (1) deciding the issue.

And another train of thought - while you're saying this should have been an easy election for the (R)s, you could just as well say the same for the (D)s. There are dozens of candidates that could have been much more difficult for any (R) to beat, and yet the (D)s went and nominated Hillary Clinton.

The real fault in the stars is the primary system. Most people don't realize that the system as we know it has only been around since the 1970s and wasn't the absolute means of choosing the nominees until the 1980s. The result hasn't been very good. Instead of picking nominees with broad national appeal, the primary system has generally resulted in nominees more ideologically removed from the middle - which shouldn't really be a shock since primary voters come from the dedicated base of each party.

IMO, it would be best for parties to ditch the primary system as it exists today and go back to a pure, true nominating convention where unpledged state delegates pick the nominee.

I agree with that as well.

Any other candidate would've have failed republicans hard, just like they have for the past decade. They are so terrified of being called racist or any other -ism that they would have rolled over for the left and the media. Remember, immigration would not even be a topic in this election if trump hadn't made it an issue. Everyone else timidly jumped on board with immigration control (albeit, neutered versions) once they saw it was something that could get you some votes. Before then, it was just assumed we would give amnesty to illegals and join in with Europe on bringing in as many Syrian refugees as possible. Don't want to look xenophobic do you?

Establishment republicans being total sellouts and cowards are why we have happy holidays, men larping as little girls, 100 different genders, and basically a failure to conserve anything wholesome from the culture that made this nation. I'm not the type to use the word 'cuck', but all of this makes it clear why the term 'cuckservative' became a popular label for establishment type republicans.

I actually think that kind of scandal could tear this country apart.

This country is already ripped at the seams. We can't even discern a man from a woman anymore, and the current administration revels in the fact that it can fool the public to their will.

While I understand Trump can definitely come across as overkill/ridiculous in some ways, the sheer amount of crap Clinton is caught up in SHOULD deter anyone from voting for her period. I'm not one for the idea of "where there is smoke there is fire" usually, but we instead have about 10000 sources of smoke, and I'm pretty sure a national forest burnt down along the way.

It exist and has for years. Read my post and links to it on political board. Hate to tell u though more GOP leaders on it than Demon crats as it is a privilege of the wealthy elite. Btw the FBI has covered this up for years and last reporters, DAs that dug into this shite all ended up missing or committing suicide.

The Sandusky pedofile ring was just one example.

Not defending the Clintons but Ole Bill has smoking hot girlfriend in South America, and Hillary has a girlfriend on staff. It is no secret in political world.

FBI used to hide the bodies of the little Boys when they were done with them in Houston in the 70s and 80s. They could care less about shite like this.

Yeah....... This looks like one of those tin foil conspiracy articles to me.
This is why I'm avoiding Facebook until well after the election. It's amazing how many people want to avoid CNN and the rest of the "main stream media" but will take these shitty articles that hardly have any factual information at face value.

At first it seems tinfoilish, but I do seriously believe there is a culture of pedophilia and rape within Hollywood elites that's been covered up for years, so I definitely believe something vile like this is possible. On one hand, if it takes something like this in order for people to finally hold Washington accountable, then good. On the other hand, I hope nothing like this is true.
