People who are privileged become hypocritical when they demand others publicly announce their own (perceived) privileges.
Furthermore, there is little-to-no evidence supporting rampant racial injustice, only the word of the aforementioned 'hunger-striker'.
If the bulk of the evidence is based on the word of a single individual, don't you think their character should be taken into account?

One of his conditions for Wolfe was to admit to having white privilege. It's kind of contradicting when you are slandering a gentleman's name all over the various news outlets, when Jonathan Butler was actually probably more well off the Wolfe, himself!

This is simply not true. I do believe white privilege exists, but the truth is white and black are marginal colors when it comes to racial injustice, far and away the most relevant color is green. That's where white privilege comes from, the fact that most positions of wealth and power (which are largely interchangeable) have been and are held by white people.

I haven't followed the story the way you guys and everyone else have. It didn't make sense to protest so I haven't been entrenched with every bit of the story.
I read about the alleged racial incidents and a president who didn't respond.
That led to the protest. Didn't read the demand letter about the acknowledgement of privilege. Not taking the protesters side.
I think this is definitely the NCAA's worst nightmare because the student-athletes finally realized how much power they have.
Unfortunately, it would have to take a power 5 school in Football or Basketball in the midst of a great season to pull something like this in order for it to generate some monetary profits for the SAs likeness and merchandise sales.

What is the system (for the entire UM system) president supposed to do about idiots driving in a pickup truck yelling slurs? Or some drunk idiot wiping feces on the wall in the shape of a swastika?
The entire thing is an absolute joke and the fact that the kid who is the so-called "face" for the under privileged, underrepresented minority is actually from an extremely wealthy family, has been in school for 7 years, and has everything handed to him his entire life is just icing on the cake.
