He was the QB coach for the Redskins. He had a losing record at Indiana. He did well in San Diego with Ladanian Tomlinson and Antonio Gates. He was god-awful in Miami. He was fired in Baltimore and after his firing, the offense picked up for a playoff run and eventual super bowl win.
Just because a guy keeps getting jobs, doesn't mean he is a bastion of success.

RG3 was an injury waiting to happen but he did quite well his rookie year. Not the same QB post-injury. Petty was a project.
Peyton, okay. Stafford has been largely underwhelming. Mallet has been awful. JFF only started because of injury to the starter and was bad. Mett only started because of injury to Mariota and was about average. Eli has 2 super bowl rings. Matt Flynn has bounced around the league. etc. etc. SEC QBs as a while are not quite the shining light you paint them to be.
