Chicken makes an assload off of us. Tigerdroppings is worth $2million and there's no telling how much he gets in ad revenue.

Sites like YouTube and facebook monetize top contributors and pay them a share of the ad revenue. Why is chicken so stingy? Certain posters are very talented at getting reactions which generates clicks, and that sort of back and forth between fanbases is reason this site has become one of the most popular college sports message boards around.

Honestly, that lunatic bluetuna Tiger should have about a 10% share in this site seeing as how his ATPB thread and the influx in traffic it created was essentially the catalyst that allowed Chicken to create secrant.com

Lets unionize the posters and go on strike til Chicken gives us what we deserve! Who's with me?

All joking aside I think it could be beneficial for Chicken to add a blog section to the site and allow select posters from each fanbase to make a weekly blog post or something, have a comment section on each one. If they're good and bring in a lot of clicks give them a slice of the ad revenue they generate, if they're not good then no big deal, just find somebody else. Not much risk there but potentially a good reward, and could potentially even eliminate some future competition if you end up with a talented writer in your employ.

But then he'd have to pay all the women posters because of Title IX...

lsunurse is the only female poster I can think of prominent enough to deserve monetization. Been a while since we had a good one on tRant. Coastie could sure drum up some reaction back in the day, RIP.

I just take the value of my services to this site as a charitable deduction

That might work fine for a mid-tier poster such as yourself, but once a poster reaches a status such as myself it just feels wrong not to compensate them for all their work. You know?

OT ballers like myself don’t fret over wages. They get taxed too much. I’d probably only see like a million or so after taxes and I just think why bother?

Well you won't be an OT baller for long with that attitude is all I can say.

The richest old dudes I know wear clothes til they get holes, drive 10 yr old trucks, keep their cocaine habits at reasonable levels, and pinch every penny they can. That's how you stay OT balling into octogenarian-hood my friend.

Is that really even OT balling at that point though?

I feel like the hookers and blow are an OT baller mainstay.

Well of course, but a true OT baller has access to those things on the cheap.

So that's why you murdered Art Bell, after they stopped sending checks?

What happened to it? I found this site Jan 2010 and don't remember that. Were you just not any good at it?

I originally signed up for this site in Jan 2010, my second semester of college. I quickly found posting eating into my study time which was already eaten into by my party time. I decided to give up posting instead of partying and got myself banned to make sure I wouldn't be tempted to post when I lurked. Waited til I finished school to make this account and start posting again.

So yeah, I'd say its very addicting to those with the right personalities. Id bet most regular posters are more introverted IRL for example
