There's a Democrat in the White House. Very few outraged over this cared we were lied to in order to invade Iraq. The left certainly was, but they don't seem to care much now. The right wasn't that upset back then, but boy are they today about Benghazi. Politics...
This current round of investigations appears to be trying to hang this around Hillary's neck ahead of 2016. Can't say it's a dumb move. At worst, the base is energized ahead of the midterms. At best, you take out the DNC's biggest gun for 2016.

the administration's actions in the aftermath of what was an avoidable but unintentional tragedy have been despicable.
Now contrast that with Reagan's response. Reagan immediately took the blame as the Commander-In-Chief, going so far as to tell the media and Amercian people that as President he was at fault, not the Marine commanders on the ground.
He then went on to immediately address the horrendous security situation for our military installations around the world and at home - and it got fixed.
This administration's first instinct was (is) to find a scapegoat to give themselves cover. Which is pathetic - and dangerous.

Too early for that. The majority of the American people don't care about Benghazi, they chalk it up to an issue of radical Muslims. If the Republicans are trying to use this against Hillary for 2016, they will have a hard time getting people to give a shite.

Completely agree. Obama probably didn't know the official line was a lie much if any sooner than the rest of the country. It was Hillary trying to protect 2016.
I don't think for one second that her health is what led to her resignation right after she testified before congress.

Benghazi aside, I can't see why anybody would vote Hillary Clinton for President. She's the Lane Kiffin of politics. But it's early and I just woke up so I'm not about to get into that argument on here.

It's why I don't think she even gets the nomination. She's old, not incredibly likable, and far too known of a commodity. 2008 was her time and a relatively unknown young Senator was able to sweep that away.

IMO, she's already got the Democratic nomination and is definitely the odds on favorite to be the next President.
Just a guess, though.

Sadly the political mudslinging has de-evolved into a more of childish tantrum of "i'm telling mom and your gonna get in trouble!" or "mom he's licking his finger and touching me and won't stop looking at me!" Whereas we the people are the "mom" in this case. It is shameful at best, I wish we could reanimate our founding fathers so they can show up Zombiefied and shitkick these sniveling, weak, corrupt people that call themselves our representatives.
This.

Not really. Obama called it an act of terror the very next day in his press briefing on it. The video wasn't even mentioned until 5 days after the attack when Rice went on one of the Sunday morning talk shows and mentioned it. And the video talking point came from the CIA.

It is actually a pretty huge deal to have one of our ambassadors murdered and our embassy attacked. To sit around and not do anything while it is happening is also a big deal. To lie about it simply to cover your own arse is deplorable and a big deal. To throw an innocent film maker to the wolves as part of the lie is a .... well hopefully you get the general idea.
Agree

America wasn't ready for a female president. We are now.
But make no mistake, the situation of the Republican Party as a whole is doing a lot to help Hillary. Who is going to run against her? Christie? Lol. Rand Paul? Too radical. Bobby Jindal? Jeb Bush? America isn't putting another Bush in the White House.
You get the idea.

I think she's currently the favorite for both the nomination and the Presidency but by election 2016 anything can happen. In late 2007 I had never heard of Barack Obama. Plus she'll be an ugly, mean, 69 year old women

I'm not aware that the administration admitted that they lied to the American public, the news media and to investigators and then apologized for the lies/cover-up.
I do not believe they did admit to lying. What they did do was make excuses such as their information at the time led them to believe it was about a video. They new it wasn't and lied. They never admitted to lying. That is what the whole uproar of that new email is about. Republicans believe that it proves they knew it wasn't about a video and lied about it for political purposes, which is a big freaking deal by the way.

If America ever elects a female president she will be very attractive. I'd bet on it.

And most would have been right if not for Obama. I simply don't see another Obama happening again. Other than Biden, I don't know of any serious Democrat that will likely take her on.
But it's still a long way off, so a lot can happen. Handicapping it today, though - I think Hillary wins it.

Meh, Hillary will get about 95% of women, 95% of minorities, and then all the rest of the Democrats. Unless the Republicans are hiding some slam dunk candidate that no one has ever heard of, Hillary will win in a landslide.
