Absolutely we are. However, that doesn't change how depressing the thought of reading at a bar is.

I've done it when traveling.

Also been to awesome bars that had lending libraries.

Pretty sure drinking alone in an airport bar is more the norm than strange. Plus, there's no time judgment. You have a layover or delay at 8 in the morning, go ahead and order that beer with your crappy eggs. Everyone in the place understands.

1. going to the bar alone (just in general)but being at least somewhat social

Yes, that's fine.

2. reading a book

For some reason, this irritated me when I was a bartender. Wth go to a bar to read a book? Don't get it.

3. loudly carrying on with friends

Ok, as long as not too rowdy & not bothering other customers.

4. wearing ed hardy

No.

5. starting a fight with a dude wearing ed hardy assuming your not some little bitty dude as ed hardy guy is most likely on steroids

Would've been fine with me, but probably would've gotten escorted outside by security.

6. drinking alone (no other activities just you and your drink of choice minding your own business)

Best customers ever.

I used to bring a book to the bar when I didn't want anyone to bother me. Unless you're behind the bar and supply me my wings and beer, don't fricking talk to me.

Because the beer is cold and the wings are prime.

And I didn't want to take up a table when it was just me.

English-Creative Writing major and my fiancee was living a couple of hours away at the time. I was rather irritable

ETA: To be fair to myself, I was always overly polite to the tender and tipped pretty generously

Oh, well, then, you'd be the favorite patron & definitely get the cold beer & hot wings first.
