Anybody else truly love the south?

Personally, I love and appreciate everything about the south. The food, music, people, landscape and the overall culture.
Take it for all it is. It’s one of a kind.

Living in East Tennessee, I indeed do.

Living in Middle Mississippi as an avid outdoorsman, hell yes. Great hunting here, awesome saltwater fishing in South La, beach living in South Ala, it has everything I love within 4 hours.

For active people, the south is the best place to be. I could probably live in Arizona, but I do prefer the south.

Man, that’s living right there. Sounds like a good life to me.

I do not have any loyalty to the south. People are nice, food is delicious, but would not hesitate to leave for the right reason.

I loved it once. Tired of it right now

Couldn't ask for a better place to live.
I have been all over the US (visited 35 of the 50 states) and there are amazing places, and people, all over. But the south just seems to have such an abundance of riches.
Go to Savannah or Charleston and see the history, the beautiful homes and gardens, eat some amazing seafood. Go to east Tennessee and see the mountains. Go to Nashville and hear great music. Go to Memphis and see the birthplace of rock and roll, and hear great music. Go to New Orleans and see the history, hear the music, eat the food. Go up the Mississippi and see the beautiful plantation homes. Beautiful gulf coast beaches. And all of it within a day or two drive of all of these other great places.
Are there things wrong in the south? Yes, but there are things wrong everywhere. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else.

No. The ignorance and small mindedness drives me insane sometimes. I love aspects of the south, but southerners are stubborn as hell over anything that challenges their status quo, and it can be tiresome.

Having lived on the East Coast and the Midwest, and visited for an extended stay out on the West Coast I can safely say I prefer the South to the rest of the country.
Now, for the record, I admit my love of the South might dim a wee bit when its 100 degrees outside and the humidity is so high that taking a dip in the swimming pool would be completely redundant.
But other then that I vastly prefer living here to the rest of the country. The East Coast is too crowded. The Midwest is too cold and the food sucks. And California is a wretched hive.

So... 8 months of the year?
