With the first reported case of COVID-19 in Alaska, the field of 50 has now been whittled down to just 3:

Alabama
Idaho
West Virginia

Folks, we've been following the Coronament since Washington was eliminated back on January 21st. There were some expected early eliminations with California and New York going down fairly quickly, and a few surprises, with Arizona and North Carolina both suffering early upset losses to the disease. North and South Dakota were both thought to be strong contenders but are now gone.

Who's going to be the last state standing in the Coronament?*

EDIT: Alabama shockingly eliminated on an obvious missed call by the officials. It's down to Idaho and West Virginia now.

I'm guessing it's because no one in Alabama, Idaho, or WV can afford to travel very far out of their counties.

Idaho is far from poor... I spend a lot of time there and it may be the cleanest, most modern state in the union.

Corona aside, a shout out goes to the state of
Louisiana for dropping from first to 3rd place in
the nation in the cases of reported venereal diseases, as Mississippi makes a dramatic leap from 9th to first place for 2020.
Top five most diseased states for sexually transmitted diseases, per 100,000 population.
(from Center for Disease Control.
1-Mississippi
2-Nevada
3-Louisiana
4-California
5-New Mexico

I was shocked that Kentucky went out so fast. Especially since our first cases showed up at a Walmart. I blame Arkansas.

I haven’t heard Montana having an in-state case. Link?

Idaho is out.

Montana reporting 4 presumptive cases now.
