Sharpton by far. Both are shites, but at least one is dating someone of the group in question.
Sharpton is a POS who cries racism at the drop of the hat. Much like some others...

Thomas Jefferson banged his slaves, FWIW.

Someone on ESPN just made a good point. The owners will NEVER, no matter how much they hate Sterling, give Silva the power to strip an owner of his team for some dirty laundry that his mistress recorded illegally.
Give him the biggest fine in NBA history and ban him from any and all basketball related activities for two years. :Steinbrenner'd:

Exactly.
The only thing that can happen to him are market forces or public shame (also a market force in a sense) driving him out. Which is fine; that's exactly how free societies work.

Here is my take on this and start calling me whatever you like, but make sure you look at yourself before you call out anyone else.
1. We all have made comments and done things that are racist or predjudicial in nature.
2. What was done to Sterling was illegal, just like what happened to the Saints a private conversation was made public and consequences will be made.
3. Sterling while not a figure that is beloved makes the NBA money.
4. Until he has done something illegal he has no reason to lose control of the Clippers.
5. If a morals clause was to be envoked, then about 1/3 to 1/2 of the owners and league would be asked to leave. Players and owners are men. They do not have thoughts, emotions, vices that are just exclusive to themselves.
6. Some outlets are jumping on this way to much and making it a bigger story than what it needs to be.
7. It happend, deal with it, when the players are done with their contract, they can choose to leave. They are not guaranteed a spot in the NBA. They can ask for a trade, but it is not in the players best interest financially to tank.

This is very true. If the Clippers are garbage like 95% of their history then this doesn't become as big as it is. The stuff with Elgin Baylor in the mid 2000s was much worse IMO, but you never really heard that much about it because nobody cared about the clippers.

There was a specific reason this tape was "leaked" at this specific time I believe. Someone got paid nicely to do so.

Racism is NOT illegal. Until it is feel free not to go to the games or do whatever you feel you need to do to protest.
Distasteful as it might be, the man is free to think and feel as he wishes to.

Yes Patton, they are. Talking about fining the guy and taking forms of punitive action.
He has broken no laws. What he said was in extremely poor taste but I would stand against any penalties. Let the people decide with their wallets. Don't watch.Don't buy tickets. Oppose him on social media.

Fines and punitive action don't require breaking laws.
Freedom of speech. Not freedom from consequences. If he doesn't want to pay fines he should take them to court once he gets hit with them.

People get fined in pro sports all the time for not breaking the law. He will probably get the biggest fine in NBA history (the max right now is 1m) and some sort of suspension. And deservedly so.
Like Patton said if he wants to fight that then go ahead.

I still oppose his right to free speech being abridged. And they get fined for breaking team or league rules. If no rule was broken, there should be no fine.

His rights aren't being "abridged". He made a private agreement when he became an owner in the NBA, part of that agreement included the league's power to fine him if he pulled a stunt like this. This is a private manner completely of his own choosing.
