by today's terms everything is racist... a comment made 30 years ago makes a person a racist today.....
Sterling does date a half black women and he did hire the first black GM in basketball so he has been somewhat progressive as well....
The comments on deadspin start from the 80's and go to recently....
A lot of them are about his renters on his property as well....

I think it is relevant....
Someone who is actually racist doesn't want anything to do with African Americans except for a subservient role

I have no clue. But he refers to her as a gentle Latina or a gentle white. Maybe he didn't use gentle but her definitely referred to her as white and Latina not black.

I won't hold comments Sterling said in the 80's against him because honestly it was a different era where those types of comments were more common place than we would like to admit and that was just how people spoke.
I'm not denying Sterling made racist comments, that much is obvious. It is also obvious he has made comments in the past but he has also done some progressive things for blacks.

I think you should be able to own whatever the frick you want and say whatever the frick you want to in a free country.
The free market will take care of this man for his comments. If people have a problem with it, they won't go watch his team play.

This would make sense if he hadn't continued to make racist comments since the early 80's. But he has. Tiger, stripes, etc

It's like his actions and his words are complete opposite. I'm not sure if he just isn't one of those narcissistic rich guys that really doesn't give a shite, enjoys his name being the hot topic in the media, and just decides to troll the nation.

Eh, depends on the racist. Some will to assert their own sense of dominance or control, or whatever other fricked up "reason."
And, like I said earlier, even though she's his "girlfriend," or mistress, or whatever, they might not even necessarily be having sex. Could just be one of those symbiotic relationships where he gets to be seen with a hottie and she gets free loot.
