I mean who needs flowers when you have a man who knows about turf.

Thanks. I'm trying to demonstrate how the SEC Rant functions as a community. I got an A on my paper portion, so I think I'll be fine

I can dance, can't really sing, and can shake the tambourine. I can play a little piano too, but a girl band with two piano players is dumb.

Or unique. I can't think of anyone else. It would be legendary

You can bet my yard will be the best on the block when I have a house.

Give me some advice on what to feed my zoysia palisades turf. the builders plopped it down on top of sand basically, and im having trouble feeding it and getting its to look like its supposed to.

I hate yardwork. If I don't have enough money to hire someone to do it for me, I'll be living in a downtown condo. That's how much I hate it

I'll be working with Zoysia this summer. If its on sand you're gonna need more frequent fertilization. The nutrients won't hold to the soil like they would on clay or silt.

A soil test could show you what nutrients your lacking.

Putting greens are built on sand based soils. So they require more fertilization and attention.

My parents always liked the natural look. It fricking sucked when I wanted a slip and slide and our yard was covered in gumballs and tree roots.

Yard work is therapeutic for me. I love that for graduate school I spend 80% of my time outside in the field and 20% in the lab researching. Perfect combo for me.

My Dad is OCD about his lawn. Me and my brother cutting the grass never lasted long because he'd start bitching incessantly about doing it this way/that way and we'd end up just telling him to do it his damn self.

I need enough to have a garden and a decent flower bed. Gardening is my yard therapy. If I take care of that, he can have all the fun he wants with the rest of the lawn.

Our lawn mower broke when I was younger. Somehow it was my twin brother and my fault. So dad made us trim the last little section of grass left with scissors. My mom just stood there and laughed at us.

When my nerdy brother bought his first house, he thought it would be cool and retro to get a manual motorless lawn mower. He did one row, realized how hard it was, and went back and got a riding mower.

I'm not going to be OCD about it, because that just isn't me. That being said, I'm going to do it myself because I enjoy it. I like to imagine I'm pac-man while I work. It makes me happy.

Vacuuming reminds me of Pac-Man.
