I've seen enough over 3 1/2 years.

Brad Smith
Chase Daniel
Blaine Gabbert
James Franklin
Maty Mauk
Drew Lock

Am I missing anyone that wasn't just a spot starter like Berkstresser?

1a. Daniel - My personal favorite. Those teams were fun to watch.
1b. Smith - Enough said. Probably as or more responsible to getting MU to respectability.
3. Gabbert - Yeah, a lot of hype but still had his moments. Beat #3 OU and got 10+ wins.
4. Franklin - I was an early critic but he won me over.
5. Mauk - If it weren't for the coke! At least has some big wins. Getting to SEC championship might push him over Franklin but the coke drops him for me.
6. Lock - All the arm in the world. Not much of a gamer. Hasn't accomplished a thing over 4 years. Hasn't improved much, if at all in 4 years.

I really don't think that is an over reaction to the game today. Ironically, he may end up with the best NFL career AS A QB of any of them.

I don’t think he has the “it” to be a successful NFL quarterback

I highly doubt he’s better than Gabbert in the pros

I don’t see NFL success with Lock. He lacks the requisite leadership role.

Can anyone honestly say they can envision him being THE GUY in an NFL huddle for a team desperate to win? Lock ain’t the guy. He doesn’t know what winning feels like.

I agree with the ranking though. Frank the Tank is underrated in my eyes these days. When he was healthy he was a pretty damn solid college QB. Tough as nails too.

My list is exactly the same as yours.

One error - Oklahoma was ranked #1 not #3 when Gabbert beat them.

Derek Dooley, is the offensive coordinator and you’re giving Lock shite? We went from Heupel, the former offensive coordinator at OU to Derek Dooley, the butthole of UT

For years, we've heard Lock "has all the tools." Well, I know a couple mechanics that have every tool known to man, but they ain't worth a shite at fixing cars.

Lock has no fire, no can-do competitiveness...and he hasn't really improved since his sophomore year. I'd even opine that he's regressed.

All those other guys won games. Drew Lock hasn’t won a game that mattered and never will.

Not giving Lock shite. It's just where I see him in comparison to the others. I had hopes that by the time he was done, he would be 1c with Daniel and Smith. He has fallen way short of that as a QB regardless of who the OC is.

And yes, Dooley was a stupid hire made by a HC that is in over his head. And that's a shame because if he worked out, he would have been at Mizzou forever. Any other hire is likely using Mizzou as a stepping stone.

Interesting. Lock ahead of Mauk even though Mauk got to an SEC championship game? Is it his fall from grace that puts Lock ahead of him? Just curious.

Put Lock on that 2014 team that Mauk helped lead to the SEC Championship game and ask yourself if Lock could have done the same.

We all know that answer.

I could be wrong, but I think Oklahoma was #1 in the BCS that game. But #3 in the AP and coaches poll.

I simply didn't go back that far. Should have clarified...since the GP era. Corby would be up there.

MM is 11-4 against SEC teams. Locks played three full seasons and most of another and has only won 7 SEC games in his entire fricking career.

Lock is an overrated neverwas.

2013 was Franklin’s team
2014 the defense dragged us there despite a mediocre offense IMO

Corby had more will to win in his off hand than Lock has in his entire body.
