Here are the TV ratings order for the games just played: WTF KC??? The 314 rules!

1. SEC title game
2. Big Ten
3. Big 12 "title" game (Oklahoma vs. Oklahoma State)
4. ACC title game
5. AAC's UCF vs. SMU (default title game for UCF)
6. Pac 12 title game
7. Conference USA title game

CBS
Missouri Auburn 4p- 8.7/17
This was the highest rated game of the day.
Once again, the SEC on CBS wins.
Top markets:

1. Birmingham: 48.2/68
2. St. Louis: 22.1/39
3. Knoxville: 21.1/33
4. Memphis: 20.3/29
5. Atlanta: 19.9/38
6. Nashville: 19.8

I hate to even write these words, but: Sporting KC. The soccer championship game was on at the same time as the SEC Championship.

Was Colorado beating kU at hoops around the same time that day? Lots of freaking jayhawkers in KC.

If you want facts and aren't attempting to troll:

Local TV ratings for Saturday in KC. Mizzou got a 18.5 rating on CBS, Sporting KC pulled a 4.3 on ESPN, and kU Basketball a 1.8 on ESPN2.

It's not rocket science man, Kansas City had a pro team playing for a title at the exact same time as the SEC championship. Both games were nationally televised and a good part of the KC population was at the game or out watching it.

And how often does Kansas City have teams competing for championships?

Well if you want to be a dick about it, about as often as Mizzou.

I didn't mean it as a slight, just making an observation.

Honestly, this doesn't surprise me at all.

The media and half the football fan base still extremely butt hurt over our move to the SEC.

I feel sorry for our fellow Tigers up in KC. Not sure that town will ever fully embrace the SEC.

In fairness to KC, they had a really good viewership for our SC game on ESPN2 when the Cardinal game was sucking up the TV market share here. And they still had an 18+ share which is better than the national average for this game by far.

Video evidence exists. I hope Jack doesn't get in too much hot water over this. If so someone should drag out video of that old Mizzou hater kU used to drag in for pre-game pep talks.

Should it? Birmingham had a 48 rating. That's (barely) better than the World Series ratings in St. Louis. Although, game 6 of 2011 had a rating of 51.3.

So anyway, a rating of just over 20 isn't bad, but I don't think it's worth bragging about.

My apologizes Breakaway, I didn't notice you are also from KC when I responded. So of course, you can dog KC all you want about lack of championships.

I won't say where I figured you were from to avoid pissing off any more Mizzou fans.

Was still shitty of me to use Mizzou as a comparison and regret it.

This is incorrect.
