you guys can’t look at their accomplishments now. You have to realize there was a point in their career where they hadn’t won anything. Barry’s improves his win total every year so you might as well stop being so miserable. When Bo fails 808 can sit there and laugh with his nose no where to be seen.

If Clemson had the same temperament as you they wouldn’t have Dabo and are probably out two national titles. Will Bo win two national titles? Probably not but you don’t know the future and he hasn’t done enough to be fired so why not just be positive or at least not so negative.

I don’t know he’s going to fail. I’m just not going to pretend he’s a generational talent at coach like a couple of posters here.
He could be a very good coach. I don’t see that at this point. Mostly from a character standpoint. If you can simply say “we will see,” I won’t argue with it. It’s the nonsensical “he’s really building something here,” “double digit wins next year” that I’ll argue with.

No one here has enough information to really think he’s going to be a generational coach. There is enough information to think that he will be an average to above average SEC coach as his baseline.
If he continues to learn from his mistakes maybe he can be better than that. Few coaches really kill it in their first 2-3 years unless they take over great situations, like Huepel at UCF.

The only very good coach that I've seen at Mizzou in my life was Dan Devine. Remember that Pinkel was criticized often for subpar seasons and not being a good game day coach.

That's your problem. It's about you vs "them".
Many of us want more for this program than the status quo...I remember when Smith was the coach to turn around this program. Odom isnt the next "Pinkel". Most of us have accepted this.
I wonder how old you are, how long you have been following the program.

We went from Powers to Widenhofer to Stull to Smith. There was no point in firing Pinkel in year 3 or even year 4. Smith didn’t leave Pinkel a Beckner and Lock.
And I don’t think Odom should be fired. He shouldn’t have been fired at any point in his tenure yet. He shouldn’t be fired at any point next year. But firing and knowing what you’ve got are two different points in a timeline. He may not be fired next year and we may have a much better idea of exactly what we’ve got and not be encouraged. We could end up with the same record next year as this year and still be encouraged by what we see from him.

His arguments dont hold much weight when he compares Odom to Pinkel. Gary was handed a true shite sandwich when he took over this program. One of the worst in Div 1/FBS
We are rolling back downhill after Pinkel rebuilt this thing from nothing. He is ok with that because he thinks "we are Mizzou and thats who we are"...a .500 conference team that cracks the top 25 once every 4 years.

The problem is, and why we get dumbass “how do we fire our coach” threads constantly, is you quite literally have no way of knowing if Odom is or isn’t...yet you’ve accepted it. Lol. In fact, the only legitimate comparison that can be made at this point is favorable to Odom.
I can’t say if he is or he isn’t. Y’all can’t either even though you won’t stop trying. I can say that the constant “our coach sucks, when can we fire him” bullshite on this board is beyond tiresome and annoying.
It’s also not a representation of the fanbase. This board is small and completely unreflective of the actual fanbase due to sample size.
