I dont either. Half way through the SEC slate and he is 14th or worse in every passing stat that matters.

Beau looked good in Kansas game after 1st QTR. He hasn’t looked the same since except for a few drives here and there. Either Kansas is really bad or he has been injured. Very reminiscent of how cook looked last year.

Eli runs our qbs into the ground Bazelak, Cook, Horn, and now Pribula. We could have Derrick Henry and Barry Sanders in our backfield and we're still running qb keepers into the endzone. This problem exists as long as Eli is our coach.

it is like the only creativity in our run game is whether the RB runs OZ or the QB keeps it on zone read. That is about it. We have no regular mix of counters, jet sweeps, toss sweep, iso, etc.

And it's easily the biggest reason Kirby has been shite on a stick this year. Hardy/Roberts have to break so many tackles to get yards. The defensive front is going 100 mph to the ball every time because they all know what's up.

If they hit a good run on counter, Duo or Split Zone, Kirby never goes back to it or builds play action off it. All the play action is off OZ. The second level gets down hill on the line movement then breaks through when the pass pro starts to set up. Hes making the defensive coordinator's job pretty easy.

Vandy getting smacked in the arse by the burnt orange count.

Marvelous.

We should have won that game.

Navy, you know I respect you and you're a fellow Omaha resident. But Im not willing to have Moore stay regardless of how Zollers may open his playbook. I think Moore is from a coaching family, so he sounds good explaining concepts, but I don't think he has the "in game" presence to be a good OC.

He should have gotten HC consideration from Fresno State and Utah State and they didn't call. Not saying he should have gotten the HC job, but he should have been seriously considered.

He's got 4 games to prove he has some creativity and guts. If not, then it should be adios.

Eli has Kirby handcuffed on the playcalling. I could see Kirby going literally anywhere and be a much better offensive coordinator but as long as Eli has his balls, he's not going to open it up.

Nah. If you want to get on Drink for not helping Moore get the right trigger man, I'd agree. Moore is using the same concepts he used in 2023 when the deep ball was a big part of the offense. That is part of the problem and it isnt because of Drink.

I don't think so. Drink has said numerous things at different times that would indicate that not only is Kirby calling it all, but that he's not overly pleased with the calls. Kirby is handcuffing Kirby.

I don't want Kirby back no matter what.
He shouldn't have been running QBs into the ground, especially with 2 great RBs.
I want someone who can use his advantages to make simple calls. This team had the talent to make the cfp. We are blowing our early advantage in NIL, plus a lot of people's money.

Just roll the tape back. The offense hasn't changed from before Kirby was here and after he arrived. We have better players but we don't have better schemes.

You are saying schemes but you are complaining about concepts. Drink was using a lot of horizontal concepts because he didn't have a legit deep threat and corresponding oline play until year 3. Lovett and Burden made a lot of hay on those concepts.

Moore does use a lot of the same concepts (Mesh, Shallow Cross, Flood) but added several of his own (Dagger, Double Post, Y Cross, Yankee). 2023 was great...it also provided a year of tape on what thows Cook could execute and the formations Moore ran them out of. Cue 2024 and teams took things away and Cook struggled because teams made him throw deep and outside the #s. Teams were doing same thing to Beau with greater success because he wouldnt keep his eyes downfield. You have to be willing to stand in to get to the deep routes. An above average arm also helps.

Hopefully Zollers is that guy. As has been stated on multiple threads, Beau missed a lot of wide open WRs so the passplay calling has been solid at worst. I've been complaining about the run game coordination all season but that deserves a thread of its own.
