Looks like Drinkwitz declined to play Kansas in the Liberty Bowl.

What a terrible look. No other way to spin this even with the transfers.

I still think we would have won even with all the guys not playing.

If you are going to come over here and link a phog.net post, without obviously taking the pulse of the situation, then I have to give you a heart-felt GFY.

It's not. DF and Drink are doing what's best for Mizzou. It's about time.

We may have won but who cares? Drink gets to treat his guys to a week in sunny florida as opposed to Memphis. The ku rivalry only means something to us old frickers.

He’s getting the better location. Chickenshits in Faurot is the better draw, son.

6-6 teams don't get to pick their bowls. We go where we are told. Fake News/Clickbait in a slow cycle.

Nah. We declined playing December 28th and the players would rather go to Tampa ...

Who wouldn't

I’m just selfish. NRG is 25-30 min (depending on traffic of course) from my place in Houston.

You think Mizzou made this decision ..not on your life...The SEC Made it for them...Sankey runs mizzou athletic dept..they are a few bad decisions from becoming totally irrelevant...SEC won't stand for it too much invested in COMO

You can't really be this stupid. Do some research, plug in your brain, and take a breath before you post crap like this again.

I’m a 22 y/o who graduated from Mizzou this spring and I certainly give a damn, still the biggest yearly game in Mizzou sports. It’s a shame the rivalry has been discontinued thus far, would have loved to watched a ku Mizzou football game in my college career.

Then you need to blame kansas, son. They're the ones who refused to play for over 10 years after we moved to the SEC.

Translated: "I have feelings on this issue, point me at something on which to unleash my feelings."

Just because you want Mizzou and ku to play doesn't mean there's someone deserving of blame.

Let me be plain, mizzou did decline the liberty bowl, just like arkansas declined the Vegas one. The sec office picks bowls with direct correlation along with School administrators. Arkansas didn't want a bowl game so soon while portal recruiting was going on. Mizzou was offered the liberty first and declined. I know, I work directly with several bowl reps and directors. I don't know why mizzou declined, don't care.

They ducked the hoops rivalry for years after the move to the SEC. The hell with em.
