Serious topic guys. When I look at guys like Badie, Bolton and several other out of state kids who represented Mizzou in an outstanding fashion I want it noticed.
I would like to start an annual "True Son" award that is presented by the members of this forum. We could set a criteria and hold a vote that is only open to our forum members. Custom plaques would be delivered to the recipients.
I would take on organizing and web design. Need 6 of you to help with criteria, and the rest of you for nominations, voting and budget.
Would you guys be interested?

There was a thread from 2014 on the topic of who is considered a "True Son" that seemed to come down on the side of:
Born in Missouri
Graduated Missouri
Loves Missouri
Now I've no quarrel with considering outstanding athletes from the University bestowed with that honor. Kinda like mafia "made guys"

Yes, this is the technically correct criteria for a True Son.
Likewise though, I have no issue bestowing it to outstanding athletes and university representatives who weren’t born in Missouri. Kim English was a perfect example of that, until he slandered the university and state.
ETA: I like the idea, OP.

I was always under the impression that a "True Son" was the returning son of a graduate (a legacy). At least that was always the requirement to attend the True Son/Daughter events back in the day.
