I don't think any of the offensive stars bail unless Horn isn't starting in 2023. You can tell Lovett gets frustrated with Cooks missed passes. Also Hamden calling plays helps. Jones should really be pushing for carries next year too.

NIL changes everything.

There's been marginal growth there.
We still don't attack bad secondaries like we should if we had a rhythm QB with a cannon and accuracy.
Again with a decent QB, that 28-24 3QTR Vs Tennessee could have been a single possession game, with back and forth offensive possessions, and who knows what happens or who has the ball last ...
Cause the Cocks and Rattler carved that defense up ...

I'm only saying that having Hamden call as should help keep our offensive stars from transferring.

Maybe.
I agree 100% that if Cook is the starting QB in 2023 and the WR talent we have learns this between Dec 5 and the deadline ... most are going to leave to play for a QB and coach that can give them an opportunity to make the NFL.
They are not getting that at Mizzou with Cook at QB and our offensive scheme right now.

Lovett and Burden (the two good enough) are both well on their way to the NFL.
We’ve offered one portal WR (that I’m aware of) and he’s a stud, not a depth filler type.
Contributing players rarely, not never, but rarely leave. We’ll lose some guys. We’ll add some guys. Hopefully the latter is the better group.
People have to stop freaking out about the portal

I agree with 808Bass the NIL changes everything.
Players are free agents every year. NCAA needs to make several changes.
A few changes
1. Can’t transfer to teams in your conference
2. Can’t transfer until after your sophomore year
3. Can’t transfer to a school and get more NIL money until after your first year at the new school unless it’s below a certain amount
This not only protects the schools, but it also protects the kids. Over 40% of the kids don’t get signed

It does, but most players aren’t getting massive, life changing money.
I agree some oversight is desperately needed.
I stand by my statement though, and there is absolutely zero indication that Lovett is even considering transferring. None at all. Like many things, 808 is pulling that directly out of his arse

I don’t pull things out of my arse.

Where is this portal info damnit?

The stuff about Lovett? It was up 808’s arse a moment ago. Now it’s here for whatever goofy reason.
On3 has the best portal coverage in general IMO

shite sucks. I hope this isn’t just the first domino to fall. Hard to build when you’re constantly having to replace good players.

Props for the prediction ... makes total sense that he'd go to Ohio State or another school to boost his NFL resume.
I'd guess that Burden declares he is gone soon enough ...
Only saving grace for Horn is the baseball opportunity though he'd probably get the same dual sport opportunity at Ole Miss with Kiffin staying put ...

It wasn’t a prediction.
I’m guessing it’s money related. He is probably getting a decent NIL package somewhere. The #3 WR in the SEC can get some money somewhere.

Lovett has legit "take the top off a defense" speed and solid hands ...
In a system where he doesn't get to show that off because the play calling is meh, the QB doesn't have the accuracy, arm strength or eyes to make the read/throw ...
Sure, he might get some NIL coin but if I were him, I'd be looking to a program where I can improve my NFL draft stock and Mizzou isn't currently that program on offense.

This was probably why he was so "program building takes time and some players don't get this" in his press conference after the NMSU game ...
He knows there is an exodus coming from his personnel and play calling decisions ...
