CB Jaylon Braxton from Arkansas to visit.

The second-year cornerback from Arkansas was seen as a rising star for the Razorbacks until a misdiagnosed injury caused him to miss most of his sophomore season

After spending his sophomore year rehabbing his knee injury, Braxton should be an intriguing option for programs looking to find a long-term answer at cornerback.

Josiah trotter is visiting. Based on his #s, he would be a massive get
As soon as I read this I hoped he would be a priority.

He's going home to Miami.

Van Buren from Mississippi State just hit the portal. Kid has upside but I don't think we risk blocking Zollers.

Jaylen Brown is hitting the portal. That sucks. You’d think he would have seen a lot of playing time after nwareni left

OK, that one hurts, we found him when he was a 3 star and then he blew up.

Wonder if someone has promised him more money, or if this is a "If I'm not starting here next year, I'll go somewhere that respects my talent!" situation.
Given the record # of kids in the portal, I think there is a lot of the playing time situations going on. All those kids can't expect more money out there somewhere. A lot of them are going to find other coaching staffs making the same evaluations of their "talent" as well. WHOLE lot of disappointment coming this offseason.

I've said this before, when we were in the Big 12, trcruiting a 4 star was a big deal. If you weren't in the top 20, may e you got 1. Now the #40 team has 2-3 4 star players. We tell these kids they are ready made for D1 football, slap a 4 star on their arse and then they wonder why they don't start every game.

The portal really needs controls soon.

Nwaneri and Brown know they are behind Young, Smith, Kelly and Lang. It sucks because all but Lang run out of eligibility after next year.

You are correct.
Gabe suggested a stair-stepped salary cap solution. Don't know that it would work, but it made sense. Which means it would never be considered.
I say, give kids 1 free transfer. Coaches lie. Coaches leave unexpectedly. NIL is a shifty game.
However, 2nd, 3rd, 4th transfers - you are sitting a year before you play again
It would not solve all the problems, but it would put a big dent in it I think.

Now that LB3 is gone, will Kevin Coleman come to Mizzou?

The signs point to yes. A lot has been made that they don’t like each other but the fact is they play the same position. Kevin would have been fighting for playing time with LB3 and now he’s not. Welcome home Kevin!
