I did live in the apts. Finished up my graduate degree. Springfield is a nice town. It's just a weird town. 3 out of 5 people are Baptist and 3 out of 5 are Assemblies of God. And 3 out of 5 are alcoholics and 3 out of 5 are at the strip club on Sat. It's a weird place.

Springfield is ight, I graduated from MSU in '11 and am about to move to Florida next year.
Had my fun here, that is for sure, the downtown scene continues to get better and better, really enjoy it. It has a pretty good college feel to it, if MSU was worth a shite in basketball and was even bottom to mid tier Big 12 in football it would have a fantastic college feel but lol at that ever happening.
I hate MSU though with a passion, typing that about made me vomit. Such a JV school athletically despite a near 22K enrollment and Hammons money.

It blew my mind when I first moved here and found out that it had such a large enrollment. There is no reason that it should be such a terrible school athletically.

The worst thing Governor Ashcroft did was change Northeast to Truman State. That started the whole nonsensical name change merry go round in the UM system.

I didn't realize they had 2 strip clubs on Glenstone. Hell Joplin is not allowed to have any in city limits. Springfield have at least 2 that I know of on one street, don't know about the rest of the city. They also have that Hong Kong "spa".

Reminds me of that shite that happened in Louisiana with Northeast Louisiana(ULM) and Southwestern Louisiana(UL/ULL/Louisiana).

But then Joplin does have the anything goes strip club like 5 minutes outside of the city limits. Springfield has nothing like that one.

Whoa...Springfield does have a full nudity strip club - Illusions. They get away with it because they don't serve alcohol.
The anything goes place is the Asian Spa on the north side of town. I don't see how that place stays in business after multiple law enforcement raids...

Conde Nast just voted Southwest Missouri and Big Cedar Lodge one of the best places on Earth as well as the #6 best southern resort.
One of the best places on Earth.
Our Table Rock Lake condo is about a mile away from Big Cedar Lodge...so yeah, we consider this area to most certainly be Missouri's paradise.
STL, KC, and northern Missouri can't offer anything close to what we have at our fingertips down here.

No, not Crazy Horse.
Illusions has the prettiest girls in the area...and they are totally nude.
However, the best club is Centerfolds on West Sunshine. They make one of the best ribeyes in town. They've sold over 100,000 ribeyes to date. You can get an $11 ribeye lunch or dinner with a very good show

Lived in Springfield and Republic for years until I moved to Rogers, AR for a good job 3 years ago. Still go to Springfield all the time to hang out with friends in the area. Rogers is only about and hour & 1/2 to 2 hours.

I think you misunderstood what I meant. They're is a strip club over by the casino where ANYTHING goes.
First strip Club I've ever been in that actually encourages you to touch the strippers during a lap dance.

I didn't misunderstand.
Springfield's version is that notorious Asian spa on the north side. That's where they give you the slant eyed Willie.
I find those kind of places disgusting. Knew a guy in college that went often to the Asian spa and bragged about the slant eyed Willie. I was like, "Dude...you probably have the HIV."

And as someone who has lived in the KC area and Columbia and has spent quite a bit of time in STL, I can say I would not want to live anywhere else in the State. SWMO is great.
Fishing, golf, floating, hunting, good schools, good restaurants, and entertainment without terrible traffic or crime. Conservative, but not dry-county conservative. Paradise may be a little bit of hyperbole, but it ain't bad.
