ND is a factory and the reason the flyway is shifting.

Had several good shoots around Swan Lake growing up.

I also had a cabin on Sugar Creek Lake north of Moberly. Sold it when I headed back north.

Got some late fall divers and a few woodies there...but nothing to keep them on the lake besides a rest stop.

Back home here in Minnesota, there are plenty of birds, but more and more guys are going over to North Dakota each year.

If it's like it was last time I was there walleye fishing it was twice the possession limit at half the price in Dakota. Between the enforcement of Indian treaties and the heavy hand of the DNR it's not worth the time and effort if you're hunting for food vs. sport in Minnesota.

We will have bear season as well. Baxter County, Arkansas has had bear season for years. When I was in college over 20 years ago a guy in the dorm killed a bear in Norfork, AR. Baxter County borders Missouri in the middle of the state.

My friends wife hit a bear last summer outside of Gainesville, Mo. It’s not real common to see them unless you have a game camera in the right spot. My brother had 6 or 7 bears on his camera in late summer to early fall.

I've got a great pix of a big black bear on my property near Castor Station, MO. They are getting to be pretty common.
