Mizzou Arena, too. Both them and 360 Architecture have offices in KC so I wouldn't have to leave the area if I were to end up getting a job with them (which is what I want to do in the future)
Is the program similar to Architecture programs at other, accredited schools and are you glad you chose Mizzou even if you may be in college longer than someone who went to an Architectur school? Do you feel that the Mizzou Arch. Studies program gives you good preparation for wherever you go for your masters (I guess you may not know yet, since you haven't started your masters

Sorry for the questions but you seem to have been in a very similar situation to what I am in currently as a junior in HS

No not a problem I'm glad to provide the info. MIZ Arch is behind many other schools, it's a small program not well known. HOWEVER, I do feel I'm getting just as much quality education on the subject as I would at another school. Our lagging behind may just be because we have an exchange agreement with kU. But I'll be damned if I set foot on that God forsaken cancerous shite box schools campus.
As for grad, it doesn't bother me being in school longer than most in an architectural studies program. The way I see it, the longer I stay in school the longer I can stay out of the real world ...lol. But that's not to say I'm not looking forward to a career in Venue design.
Good luck with your search. Although Mizzou isn't the best when it comes to Architecture school, it's solid and you would be happy.

Oh yes please, those very rocks are cursed (the hill's been dug up several times, but the rocks always remain) Exorcise them, then dump them in the river.
(They were probably taken off some Osage Shamens cairn long ago)

I've always hated the Rock M. It's simple sucks. Mizzou needs to get a real stadium and get rid of these dumb traditions. This is a national championship team, it's time to start acting like one.

You're on the money! The real world will always be there.

I love the Rock M - think it is one of the only features that makes our stadium unique.
However, these are the changes I would make:
- stop counting hill seating in our total capacity; it clearly should be overflow.
- eventually build permanent seating on either side of the Rock M
- somehow use the Rock M in the game intro - maybe have players run down either side of it, similar to Clemson and Howard's Rock (this may be stupid but I am just spit balling here)

I think it's time to move it to another location, if there is one. I was watching the broadcast of the MU/TENN. Game and the commentators were making fun of the few people who were setting on the rocks rather than in one of the empty seats.

Worst idea I have ever read on here. Never copy Clemson. And do NOT use the hill in the pre-game ceremonies. I just want the south endzone expanded for now. after that, Im not sure what they will do.

Dude Clemson's pre-game intro gives me chills. It is by far the best in the sport.

JMO but if the game is sold out, the "M" isn't really a relevant feature of the stadium. As the stadium empties out it becomes relevant again but then they show on TV an empty endzone.
They could utilize the hill somewhat like Clemson does along with Vols tradition. The Marching Band brings fans to the stadium and plays north of the stadium for a while and enters via the hill. Get fans into the seats early.
Then instead of players coming through a tunnel on the South - a squad comes down the hill!

I agree Clemson's entrance is the best in sports. But that is their thing. You cant just take their idea like that.

Frankly, if they're going to keep the M they shouldn't allow people to sit on it IMO. I think the rock "M" looks better and crisper after the work they did on it, but letting people sit on it just makes it all look like a mess. From a visual point of view, it would look better if people didn't sit on it and they had overhead shots during a game.

You do realize the "M" is a copy of what schools (including high schools) do all over the country?
Maybe we shouldn't have a marching band since that's a copy of what other schools do.

I dont think you understand that it has been in place since the 1920's... Mizzou was probably one of the first to do it. And itd be one thing if we switched and did the hill entrance in the 70's or 80's, but in 2014? Thats insane and we would be made fun of heavily. Thats a joke.

yes. As i said, put permanent seating around it. ( leave some grass on the sides, just not too much.)

So if Mizzou had done it 30 years ago it wouldn't have been a joke but now it is?
Mizzou players enter through smoke and a tunnel currently. Copying just about every other team?

When its every other team it doesnt matter. Running down the hill is clemsons thing and clemsons thing only. And yes, 30-40 years ago, it would not have caused such an uproar as it would now. Its not worth arguing about. The locker rooms are by the south endzone. It would not work out.

Turns out Kirkwood High School has had their football teams running down a hill prior to the game beginning since the 1950's. Jerks were copying Clemson and they didn't even know it.
