When the oline went lateral on outside zone, the defense crushed the C-Gap on every play. Their defensive tackles didn't fill up the stat sheet but they kept their LBs clean which lead to most of their TFLs.
Tollison had really a bad day in pass pro. The rest of the line was solid, but Tollison's play directly lead to the 3 sacks and a couple of pressures.
Beau was a mixed bag. The first INT was late and behind the WR. He left a clean pocket on 5 plays and made a solid gain on 2. The final drive in regulation was putrid. No reason to take that sack. He dropped his eyes and ran into the pressure. The throw to Roberts on the screen was worse because the blocking was set up so well. Roberts would have hit the second level untouched. The second INT was again late and behind Johnson. He came up clutch in the second OT to win but they had an opportunity to put a bad team away with his arm and did not.

Don't know if you read my post about my buddy from Wayne St. Do you agree that with his minimum actual experience, that the game hasn't slowed for Beau yet? He did seem much better with the lower competition.

can the OL be fixed at this point? Seems a ton of missed assignments between OT/TE too.

This is his 4th year of college ball. He's making sophomore mistakes like waiting to see routes open. When you have an arm like Lock, you can get away with it. When you have a 3* arm, the ball has to be on time and on target. He is putting ceiling on the offense with his play. Teams dont respect his arm which was my concern heading into the season. The line is giving him time, he isnt pulling the trigger.

And the guy with the arm ... we run on a QB draw on his only play this season (out for season) ...
Fuels my angst with Kirby Moore cause Horn would be your starter at this point ...

I dont think anything needs to be fixed in the run game as much as I think Moore needs to adjust sooner and be more multiple in his run game calls.
I've said this in more than one thread but use gap schemes, use the option, use split zone. The line is capable and when we start pulling guys, the LBs pause because they aren't expecting that action. It slows all the run fits down and let's the RBs get into the second level untouched.
Hardy needs to grow as a runner as well. He hits the OZ play as well as anyone when it is blocked properly. His vision and patience on the other running plays is behind Roberts IMO and it makes things predictable. Roberts makes a lot of hay on IZ and SZ and definitely needs more carries.

Navy ... Is anything doable / fixable to elevate the offense enough to get to 10 wins and have a shot at the playoffs? It feels like we've been doing it with smoke and mirrors the last two weeks offensively.

This was a classic Auburn vs Mizzou game. I had flashbacks to the Auburn SEC Championship game in terms of the O-Line missing blocks because of the scheme. For the end of the game, I thought we were going to lose like we did last time we were there. You saw a bit of history kinda repeating itself except this time we got the W.

I do like that it was the DL that did the work for the win. Zion is really shaping up to be a NFL type of player.

Be more multiple in the run game, be a step ahead of the defense.
They need to pull the bandaid on Olugbode. If that means less Norfleet, so be it. The TE run blocking grade the last two weeks doesn't justify inviting teams into a phone booth. They might get away with it next weekend but it will play right into aTm and oU's strength. Norfleet isnt strong enough after the catch and isnt showing up in the RZ during conference play. Spread them out and throw to run. Its a paradigm shift but it will at least create some safety conflicts and give Beau some space to fit throws.
