Story is the team doctors thought rehab would be enough, they got a second opinion and went with surgery.

I'd imagine it was a rehab could fix it or it could not, so why risk being drafted to play one college season

I feel bad for the kid, hope he recovers quickly.

Also, this is the most Mizzou thing to happen to Mizzou since the fifth down.

This is right up there in the top 1 or 2 Most Mizzou Things Ever.

The good thing is, his career isn’t over. Hopefully he has a nice NBA career. TVZ was never the same after his injury.

We’ll have a good idea of what kind of coach CM is now as well, this is some serious adversity. There are still guys on that team with NBA aspirations, so they won’t mail it in, hopefully.

That all sounds perfectly reasonable

I really have no issue with how it’s being handled.

If this was my kid, I’d do the same thing. No reason to risk throwing away the future for 1 season of CBB.

Nothing in life is guaranteed, and tempting fate isn’t a smart move when you’re a walking winning lottery ticket.

I hope he becomes a stud in the league and gives back to the AD in spades.

No need to do that man. Unlike your leg humpers, some of us like your opinions and what you've heard.

Nope, not at all. I think he wanted to play, Zo wanted him to play. They tried. It was best to get surgery and what was best for MPJ is what was done.

Just a huge stretch to suggest that there is any bad blood over this. Everything I've read on Zo paints him as a man of immense character and he's not going to try to force a kid to sacrifice his future. I don't believe that for one second.

don't leave the board just ignore certain posters. Don't take the bait. You've got a handful of ppl who just want to be contrary to whatever you post. But that doesn't mean others don't find your post informative.

Don't take the bait is the best response. He is relentless and inexhaustible. He's the dog that can bark at a pine cone for 12 hours. Well, he's slightly less interesting than that, but you get the point

Leave bass alone.

He's just a little surly.

This board sucks now. Most of the threads on here are filled with Mizzou fans going at each other.

Yes.

Tilmon looks ready, if he can stay on the floor. That might be the saving grace for him staying.

MPj is gone dude. The sooner we all accept that the better.
