Yeah, even bad BBQ is good when you're sitting on the beach watching the sunset.

I'm definitely not a fan of Duke.

I don't think that fits in the SEC at all.. and I really don't think they'll ever be in the SEC.

I don't understand why the best of the ACC and Big East don't team up.. I really don't get why that doesn't just become one league.

I don't really have a preference. If you added Duke and NC it wouldn't add two new markets, just one. So if you do that, then why not steal FLA St?

Best BBQ I ever ate(besides mine) was at a Motocross track in the Ozarks. I ate two Pulled Pork Sandy's between Moto's! I ate the first so fast then decided it was Da-Bomb and ate another!

I then had some minor cramping during the second moto, but damn they were worth it!

Personal opinion here, but good BBQ doesn't need any sauce. Yeh I eat sauce but prefer none if the meat is cooked correctly. My two favorites to cook are babybacks and chicken. I find that sauce seems to cover the taste of the smoke meat too much. I usually use a combo of apple and cherry wood. Fruit tree wood seems to sweeten the meat enough on it's own. I like to use DiJon or regular mustard and sprinkle some hometown rub over that. All together it makes the meat pretty damn good without BBQ sauce. You just don't want to overcook.

How about Oklahoma and North Carolina?

That would be perfect, literally as ideal as can be..

But don't think they'd leave Okie St.. who knows though, but I like that idea best.

I think it would need to be one or the other when dealing with TV markets. Oklahoma would be the best bang for the buck in that state. But they may not leave the B12. Then you go after OSU.

Then you could stroll over and take another TV market in N.C.

I know it's not really the thing to believe for many Mizzou fans, but I'm pretty sure the 13 year Grant of Rights the Big 12 signed makes most of those teams untouchable.

Pretty sure it's signed, pretty sure everything a team makes on Tier 1/2 media rights income stays with the conference regardless of whether or not the team is still with the conference.

Seems to make every school pretty useless to a new conference. Hell, even the smaller schools could stick around in a skeleton Big 12 with Oklahoma or Texas money coming in. Even without Oklahoma or Texas playing in the conference.

The real question is how many teams would the Big 12 have to leave before the Big 12 decertifies and has no rights to the income guaranteed by the grant.

Either way, don't think any Big 12 teams are leaving.

Well, in reality, we know there are going to eventually be 4 major conferences. The SEC, B1G and PAC are three of them - the fourth will either be the ACC or Big 12, and that's up in the air right now.

Mike Slive threw the Big 12 a lifeline with that bowl champions deal. That partnership gives them credibility. And I suspect he did it for two reasons. First, as a good will gesture for taking Mizzou and A&M. And second, because he'd prefer the Big 12 be that 4th conference instead of the ACC - because he wants some ACC schools. The schools in the ACC that care about football are the prime targets for leagues looking to expand. The ACC made it's best move to protect itself with that $50mil buyout, and Maryland it challenging it in court. If Maryland is successful, the ACC will crumble and the Big 12 will be that 4th major conference. The B1G will pick up 2 more schools to get to 16, as will the SEC, and the Big 12 will pick up at least 4.

On the other hand, if that buyout holds up, it could go the other way, where the Big 12 will collapse. The PAC will take 4 Big 12 schools (Likely from Texas and Oklahoma, perhaps kU) to get to 16, and the ACC becomes that 4th major conference by picking up a few more teams, perhaps from the Big 12.

When we left the Big 12, I truly believed it was going to collapse and the ACC would be that 4th conference, but Slive's move may have been a game changer. He gave them some stabilizing credibility. Now, we'll see who wins out. JMO, of course.

No matter what happens....doesn't it feel fantastic to be watching the antics from our happy place in the SEC?

Certainly glad we got our seat before the music stopped playing.

I really don't see the Big 12 collapsing though because of the grant of rights. ACC's $50 million buyout, even if it's upheld, won't be much more than a year or two of lost SEC revenue after the network is started.

Losing all your Tier 1/2 TV revenue for 12 more years with the Big 12 GOR is a lot worse than $50 million.

Big 12 will survive, I think. It will be the only non-regional "superconference" though, which will be its downfall.

No one knows what's in the GoRs.

I think the Big 12 survives because of geography.

B1G takes enough of the Mid-Atlantic Coast to end the Big East.

SEC does in what's left of ACC.

PAC holds the Pacific coast.

Big 12 left standing.

I don't think it has much to do with the GoR.

Big 12 isn't going anywhere but I'd welcome both okie schools with open arms. I spend ALOT of time in OK due to work and those are some serious football fans.

Plus two more wrestling schools. We're a wrestling school.

Why can't you stand to swim in the Pacific? Not sure exactly where SoCal is, but the San Diego beaches are really nice.

It's like a half a degree above freezing every time I touch the water in SoCal.

I was there with my family a few years ago at the end of June. Laid on a beautiful beach and watched fighters take off and land. That was amazing. The suck was it was literally 71 degrees and the water temp was the low to mid 50s. You can't swim in that. I'm a water bug and my little girls are as well. We just played on the beach but not much swimming. This was Coronado island(San Diego). Next time I'm going the end of July. Maybe we can swim then. The good was Disney with that weather and I was in my best friends wedding. Great times/crappy swimming.

But your arse still got sunburned.

Full disclosure...HermannMIZ and I have been friends since we were 13, he was the best man at my wedding. He came to here for a vacation in June and was pissed because it was cloudy, the water was cold as frick, yet he still got sun burned.

He's a bitch.

Just like being an MU fan. Only an MU fan knows what it is like to be an MU fan. We have kicked in the nuts like no other ( sorry semo/boogie).

SoCal and I are good at balancing each other out. I will warn you all that if we both feel strongly about an MU topic and agree we will likely hop the rails and it will be baaaddd
