I figure it's been mentioned somewhere, but thoughtit was worth discussing further.
If Richardson continues to play well does CG go back to LG when healthy, and then bump Dom back to RG? It'll basically come down to Richardson playing better than Peagler/Wilson, if the top 5 mantra holds true.

I like it. We'll see if Peagler keeps improving on the technique issues. And where Green is when he gets cleared to return.

Peagler and Trost shoved people around last game. Richardson also had a lot of help from Harris/Norfleet and Moore's play calling. Moore was very strategic about his calls based on hash position/where Stewart was lined up.

I noticed on one play in our EZ both Norfleet and Harris pass proed on Stewart. Kirby is krafty.

My only real problem with Moore's play calling is in the RZ. The TD rate through 4 games is 66%. That isnt good enough.

The end around on 3rd and 12 at the end of the game looked like a good call. On TV all I could see was green in front of Kevin Coleman. Too bad one SC defender made a great play to blow it up.

Assuming we lose Kirby if the rest of this season is successful...

1) Is there someone in house to replace him?
2) Who would he most likely try to take with him?

Carts ahead of the horse here, yes. In Drink We Trust.

A sentimental pick for me would be to call Jeremy Maclin back to Columbia. The name recognition might be great for recruiting. I have no idea what coaching resume he brings other than HC at Kirkwood the last 5 years.

If coaches have to pay their dues on staff first how do any of them break into college coaching if not given a chance by someone.. I'd like to see him back getting experience at this level as a coach at some position. If he would even be interested.

I imagine Drink knows plenty of coaches that could fill Kirby's shoes if he needed to.

Sean Weatherspoon is Head coaching in Atlanta somewhere to. When he does a press conference everyone could say spoooooon as he walks up.

Fans can see them both on the Truesons youtube podcast about Mizzou football.

Green is going back to tackle because he wants LT NFL money. But I don't think the scouts will be fooled. I think his NFL future is at guard. Same with Wilson wanting to be a DE but I believe the NFL still will see him as a OLB.

WIlson is 2nd in the SEC in Sacks and has 13 hurries playing with his hand in the dirt. He sets the edge vs the run. Hes a perfect fit at DE in the NFL.

I think Green will play wherever the team needs him. Richardson and Peagler are competing for the 5th starting OL spot while Green is out, imo. If there's no dramatic difference between the two in those games then I'd probably go back to CG at LT and let Peagler continue to get better.

I dont forsee Jones shuffling his line around once Green is healthy. Too much time has been invested in communication and timing with the other 4 guys who are really starting to look good running multiple zone concepts to either side of the ball. Pass pro is shaping up as well.

If Wilson keeps this production up through the SEC games, the NFL will look at him as a DE. He will just need to do that against the big boys as well.

So, how about 2 sacks, 5 hurries, and 5-7 tackles against Bama Wilson????

Wilson doesn't have the size or skillset to attack a NFL OT. He's alot like my 2nd/3rd nephew Quinton Bell. The Raiders tried him in their 4-3, but he later got a super bowl ring and a decent NFL career as a OLB. Wilson has speed and lateral movement. He's closer to Lawrence Taylor, than Reggie White. And there is nothing wrong with that, it's just the NFL pays DE's better for some reason. Khalil Mack is the only player I can think of that excelled at developing as a DE while also playing like a OLB at times. Which is why he went to the Pro Bowl as both in the same year.

Disagree. In today's multiple front NFL defense he will be asked to play 5 out to 9 as an edge defender. Hes going to have to set the edge which he has proven to be able to do both at UGA and so far this season.
