“ Mizzou announces via a release that it will present a plan to the UM Board of Curators on Nov. 16 that includes "the construction of several new competition venues...and explores a reimagination of the north concourse of Memorial Stadium." “

What do you all want to see added?

Dunno, I like watching games from the North End Zone deck/concourse. Hope they don't decide to bury it under seats.

Can they replace our shitty arse bleachers and put up more railing before they do this shite. Tired of watching people slip on the damn stairs and bitch about the faded arse bleachers

If these renderings are even accurate. I for one love it.

If it looks like that I'm all for it. Looks like my favorite place to stand will still be there.

Pointed out elsewhere that these renderings also include an upper deck on the west side. Along with the NEZ seating that would have to put capacity at around 80k+, no? Makes me think these aren't legit, we couldn't sell that out consistently unless we win the SEC a couple times in the next few years

Looks phenomenal and would give us a real SEC stadium

I'd much prefer filling in the grass around the Rock M with seats than putting up seats behind.

70000 + the hill. Just about right I think.

That's probably only about 5-6k seats there.

No. This capacity increase would put us around 70k again.

My S.I.L. is the Senior Principal/Senior Architect of Populous, the firm doing the stadium improvements.

So you can neither confirm nor deny the veracity of these renderings?

I'm told they're "not real."

Well, tell her they are being favorably received so maybe that's what they should do.

But seriously, I would imagine they are not too far off. It appears there are suites added in the drawing. Those are revenue generators. It is my understanding that the south-end zone suites are adding revenue.

Having dealt with Populous before, they will intentionally avoid doing anything remotely like this just because it is already out there. The pompous attitudes of architects and desire to be different just for the sake of being different is insufferable.

I chuckled. Mostly accurate.
