We beat NMSU by 31. Liberty beat Arkansas by 2 in Fayetteville. NMSU beat Liberty by 35 on the road.
It’s crazy how bad Cook has played all year. He played good yesterday, but if we had a QB we would probably be in the top 10 and especially after this weekend.

Just better coaching gets more wins with cook.

Better coaching means more better players playing.
I can’t fathom that Schrader consistently looks better in practice than Young and Jones.

Drink doesn't say Cook and Shrader are better, they are underdogs that "do thing the right way." That's a trait that resonates with our nerdy coach who I'm guessing was never athletically talented. Next year I believe we start seeing the best talent.

Jones is exciting and comparable to Badie. I am really excited to see what he can do. I think he might be able to have as much as impact as Horn next year. He has quick burst and is strong. He is a little bigger and faster than Badie. In high school he had 72 receptions and 14 TD’s. He had 45 rushing TD’s and had 3,589 yards rushing yards.
He was the 5A All-Star game MVP with 3 TD’s. All-Star game was in Texas so it is legit game
I hope he develops into the all purpose back faster than Badie. Badie was behind Crockett and Roundtree, but there isn’t a back in front of him like LB3.

Occams Razor ... absolutely.
Our dork coach couldn't play anything in high school so he pulls for the underdog.
Spot on post.
And it's why he isn't the right guy for the next level ...

Drink was All-Confrence and All-State in high school. Hugh Freeze played baseball and played baseball in junior college. He was cut from the Southern Miss team.
Don’t think it matters how good you were in high school when it comes to coaching.

So you think the coach is purposefully sitting his best players?

Meh. We're a missed chip shot and a gawd awful roughing the punter call from 8-4. We'd all be happy and discussing how good 2023 will be. I remain cautiously optimistic.

More like a combination of best talent and experience. Not all of the best talent are going to start including rookie.
Like Horn sat out most of the games.

There must be a conspiracy going on.
