We get our arse kicked something like 35-17.

End the season 5-7.

Might still get a bowl invite because there are too many bowls.

Brady Cook experiment extends to 2023.

Based on what we all saw in that one series and the crowd reaction before Horn took the field ...

Drink must not want to be coach at Mizzou ...

Cause it is guaranteed that he will be fired at the end of the 2023 season if this happens.

I thought they changed that?

They take 5-7 teams based on APR rates.

My unwritten rule. If you get into a bowl with 5 wins, you cannot play an upperclassman

Horn either starts or we lose him and Burden to the portal maybe even Jones. It's stupid to recruit upper level talent and not use it.

Granted it was NMSU ... but his first throw was a dime (just over LB) on a seam route that Cook never attempts because he can't read it or he's already pulled the ball down to run ...

We definitely know why we haven't seen Horn earlier ... Drinks ego. Cause that throw was what I saw the kid do in high school here in GA.

2021–present bowl seasons
The 2021–22 bowl season featured 44 bowl games with everything largely back to normal after the turmoil of the previous season due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Hawaii were the only team with a losing record, 6–7, selected.

CBS current eligible teams

quote:

In order for an FBS team to officially become bowl-eligible, it needs at least six wins with a minimum winning percentage of .500. A total of 82 teams are needed to fill all 41 bowl games. Teams can only count one win against an FCS opponent toward the total number of wins needed for bowl eligibility.

Following the Week 11 games, there are officially 63 bowl-eligible teams with 19 slots still open.

Looks like there are 3 less bowl games this year with 41 versus 44 last year and only Hawaii made it due to the Hawaii bowl and extra game they played last year.

Ark is too manic depressive; we win 30-24.

If there is one thing you can count on is that any former coach will give their undivided attention to prove a point to Mizzou.

Hogs - 28
Miz - 17

Do we play like we did against Ole Miss? We probably win with some breathing room.

But this is a banged up Arkansas team. If something happens to KJ Jefferson our offense falls apart faster than Lane Kiffin when he gets a contract offer from another school.

I can see Arkansas just running out of gas in the last game of the season (we've made our bowl game and y'all are playing for everything) or I can see us starting to finally get some momentum going.

Drink needs this game though. I mean he really needs it. Not only will a bowl game quiet folks down but if we are stuck with having each other as end of the season rivals you don't want to watch Arkansas lurch forward every year.

I suspect this is a close one, which is worrisome because we've lost some heart breakers this year in close games.

I think our defense makes it hell on earth for KJ, like we did Rattler.

But mizzou still snatches defeat from the jaws of victory with some weird ref call or player doing something that will be talked about for years ...

Yes, I fear we have seen our last football win of the season.

We will exit the 2022 season not really knowing if we can turn the corner next year, if we are close to the corner or if we can even see the corner.

I didn’t see a lot of progress this year and I saw nothing concrete that makes me feel we will be better next year. I will certainly give props to a much improved defense though.

I'm gonna disagree with you. We leave 2022 having absolute proof that 4 or 5 plays are the difference between a 5 win season and a 8 win season. This is a good team, and better talent joins the starting lineup next season.

Mizzou legitimately lost 2 games, KSU and UT. The other losses come from single mistakes at crucial times.

What I am concerned about is Drinks falloff in recruiting. And his inability to land his QB targets fron the transfer portal. It makes me wonder if his 2022 class was a 1 off.

Lol, we win this game.

A lot to play for and the game is personal for Drink.

What's the "personal" aspect for Drink?

I think there are a few reasons. He has ties to Northwest Arkansas and was a candidate for their coaching position. Another reason he wasn’t happy when we lost some recruits and players that left with Odom.

He probably talks trash because he wants to build a rivalry with a team in the SEC. We’ve not had that since we left the Big 12.

Lane Kiffin to Ole Miss threw a wrench in the Hogs coaching search, and now, it appears that Arkansas is resetting its search. Mountaineers head coach Eliah Drinkwitz is a candidate, and he was asked about potential openings after the conference championship game.

No one on here even predicted Tigers to beat the spread last game. Spread was -29 points. This week against Arkansas the spread is as of right now -4.5 to Arkansas. Now why are many of you hoping for a blowout loss? Maybe some of you have that must get the HC fired or forced the HC to hire a real OC and maybe some other changes and start Horn over Cook for this game and next year as well. I am beginning to see many have long given up having faith in Drinkwitz ability to beat the naysayers like yourself.
