I honetly see Veatch firing the coach and announcing at least working on plans to address the program.
I think this is a less than 1% chance of happening. Veatch hired the same coach at his last stop and it seems that Veatch wants upgrades before doing anything else.

What types of upgrades? I just can't see dumping millions of dollars into this program right now. Times are tough, and Mizzou baseball has done nothing to earn anything expensive.

Turf is the only thing official at this point. Veatch has mentioned multiple times that baseball needs more commitment and upgrades/investment but no details other than full field turf for next year.
It is another situation where they will have to shite or get off the pot with regards to building a new baseball stadium.

The Hearnes is a money pit that is grossly oversized for the sports that perform in it. Volleyball and wrestling average 3500ish per home event and gymnastics is probably closer to 6500. It costs a million dollars just heat/cool it amd keep the lights on every year. Taylor stadium would be the perfect place for an 7500 seat Olympic sports facility. It would fit in the outfield. They could have the grading and ground work done at the same time the stands and dugouts are being demolished. Knocking down the Hearnes is no small task but wouldn't take long to put a ball park in, especially if it's going to be an all turf playing surface. Commit and get on with it.

still need to do an indoor track somewhere.

Then stretch the footprint into the infield to handle a 6 lane oval.

Not sure I follow. Is the suggestion to put indoor track on the baseball field?

No. Stretch the footprint of the Olympic sports complex to include the six lane oval for indoor track. There's plenty of room in the current footprint of Taylor stadium to make it fit.

Yeah, should be easy enough when taylor isn't needed.

just not getting run ruled is a win for this team.

They need to make men's baseball competitive. It may be painful to fix but Missouri cannot just drop a sport because they are not doing well in it currently.
Other conference members are counting on Missouri having a men's baseball team. It is unwise to tick the rest of the conference off by just dropping out.

You mean the ones that don't even know we're in the conference?

I saw yesterday's score...and assumed it was a misprint, so I checked another site. Yep.
25 to 7 in a home loss ???
And looks like Mizzou gave up 10 runs in the 9th

The University/system needs to invest in the program whether they want to or not.
