Better to be bitch slapped early in the season. SLU is a really really good team. Gates definitely out coached as well. Let’s see if all involved learn from it

Dennis is a nice guy who represents the school well but he simply cannot coach. Standing on the side with his hands in his pockets does not cut it. We need a hardass, fundamentals coach IMO. Don't know who agreed to play 3 in a row at SLU but he/she should be canned.

Ignore the 3s. The number of pick/roll, back door action that resulted in easy baskets was the game.
Hard to defend what your coach can't teach to install in your own offense ...

I mean we out size them at every spot on floor, 2 deep and they outscored us 38-36 in the paint.

Sadly, from watching his HS tape, that appears to be his game. He is a high volume shooter to get his high scoring output. He is not the efficient type. I hope he gets it together but this is exactly what I thought would happen from his HS tape.
