If you just want Lock to be QB, just say so. But Mauk is a Missouri Tiger, and it is pretty shitty of fans to not support him and throw him under the bus.
Remember how "Mauk was so terrible", until Lock came and the offense became terrible. Mauk has really gotten the short end of the stick multiple times. He was a great backup as a RS FR, waiting for his time, not making a fuss, and being a good teammate.
Lets be supportive fans.
Yes. I really wish Pinkel, his staff and his 84 teammates didn't let The Mauk down like they did. Twice.

What can't get distorted is the length of the initial suspension and the length of the subsequent suspension. If you can find a another commensurate level suspension where it was known to be "just weed," feel free to share.

I'll just put it this way and it's enough for me. It doesn't need to be enough for you but it is for me. Anyone else with just weed would miss 1 or 2 games and be back. I've heard enough from enough reliable sources, that when all put together I have little doubt.

As there should be. Mauk is a 4th year player. Lock is a 1st year player. Everyone knew there was a great chance that we'd lose every single game under Lock. I was willing to take those losses to prepare for next year.

I never understood throwing Mauk the player under the bus either. Yeah he took off running almost every play, but he had three big fast guys coming after him untouched almost every play. Lock stands in there and get's hammered. Not sure that's better. I do get liking Lock's arm.

The naive fans think Mauk is a great QB and MAYBE has smoked weed. The fans who pay attention know that he is an average QB on his best days and has a Coke problem

If I had one that would mean he is either in Jail or rehab. Which with all the crap MU has taken this season will make it worse. This is like Mike Sam. Everyone knew but no one said a word

Morrison spoke with Mauks dad over the weekend. He tweeted out that the father says that Mauk has been reinstated and is planning to be back in the spring.

This right here sums it up. Had it actually been as serious as everyone thinks it is, wouldn't the authorities been notified at some point? I mean some of these kids get busted smoking weed around campus, if Mauk had something harder, say cocaine, I figured he be sitting in jail with his scolarship pulled. End of story. My impressions were an alcohol problem. Then the rumor mill started and it dealing cocaine. What's next?
Thing is, everyone can give their best guess off of second or third hand info. None of us were sitting in that room when he was suspended. That info still hasn't come out except in the form of rumors.
Shouldn't judge the kid on hearsay. The situation will run it's course. Let it. If he's good enough, he'll get to start. If not, well he'll be a backup. It's that simple. If he starts to be a cancer for the team, then Odom will probably address it. Other than that, it is what it is. He's still here. He still has his scholarship and is more or less on the team.

When Mauk pissed away his second chance within hours....... That was enough for me..... Obviously he really could give two shits about his team.

LOL. Guess not. I'm confident of one thing. I'm pretty sure not one poster here was sitting in the room when Mauk was suspended either time. Not saying rumors are not true but not saying they are either. I am 100% sure I wasn't there and don't plan on throwing a kid under the bus with second or third hand info. Just puting that out there. Until Mauk or someone involved in the suspension steps out and says this is what he was suspended for, then I'll hold back judgemental jargon.
I know Blaine Dalton was dismissed for prescrip drugs. He had one chance and got popped on the second occurrence. That was prescrip drugs. I would imagine if it were illegal drugs of some kind, Mauk wouldn't be here right now. This is not the case at this point. The staff according to PM, has given Mauk a path back to being on the team. Of course this is also third hand info, but usually PM won't put info out there they don't feel is accurate.
