Luther Burden needs 10-12 touches a game for MU to even think of winning any big games

he's 10x better than anyone else on the team, he can take a 4 yard backwards pitch and take it 70 yards for a td.

he makes everyone around him better when hes active and touching the ball

The fluttering throw to the hash from Cook, Burden changed from an INT into a 15 yard pickup.

He’s a game changer the moment he steps on the field.

So nine touches in a game wouldn't ever cut it?

You do realize that it will be job one for every SEC DC to stop him, don't you? Our offense needs to be multiple. If teams overcommit to stopping Burden, we have to make them pay. That means Lovett, Cooper, the running backs and our quarterback all have to be involved.

Like it or not, he should be used as a decoy at times. Lovett is a rainmaker.

I hope his hands are better than he showed. The athleticism is crazy but it looks like he doesn't know how to go get the ball.

I think we saw both, what to do and what not to do. I'm not putting too much stock in the few mistakes that were made on both sides of the ball; 1st game adrenaline hype.

Yup. Hope the good grows and the less good disappears.

I would rather have 6 to 7 big plays from Burden than 10-12 average to above average. The more targets other receivers get the more open he will get throughout the game.

He is electric and 1-1 he can beat almost anybody. Focus on giving him the ball more he will have 2 on him or a spy on him.

Wheel routes to backs and short and intermediate passes to Lovett and Bannister should open passes to Burden, Dove, and Mookie.
