Looks like Lock will get to read the whole field, and make more calls On the field.
Online depth looking good.
If lock completes 64% of his passes like he wants, and the running game improves over last year, this offense could be potent.
I think a lot of the issues in games against good defenses was only reading half the field. Hopefully this new look will open up options during plays and we complete more passes against teams with a good secondary.

Sounds like a natural progression.
I expect to hear these sorts of things regarding Lock under year two of the Heupel offense.
Both of these guys have a lot to lose, so I like this set up.
It's a symbiotic relationship with those two. We should see real upward movement QB wise this year.

I agree. The frequency at which they used certain concepts last year lent to predictability. UF and LSU had the CBs to clamp it down. Other teams didn't.
I watched an "under the radar" video on Twitter of Moore working this summer. He still frequently catches the back end of the ball but his physical upside rivals any MU skill player in the last 20 years.
I was very critical of him but I went back and looked at the last 4 games of his season. In the month of November he averaged 7 receptions and 115 ypg. He does that over 12 games and he will get drafted.

I predict this will be locks' breakout season. 3rd year in the program and 2nd under heupel. He is surrounded by experience and talent who should only naturally progress in this offense as well. I think the Tigers will suprise many this season.

Did you notice how often they were playing him in press coverage?
His reputation has been to come up small against elite defenders.

UGA was 16th in the nation in passing defense and he ran over around and through that secondary.
Florida didn't allow a single team to complete 60% of their throws. They allowed one 300 yd passing game. If not for the hail mary on the final play vs Tennessee they allow none. Everyone struggled vs that defense.
LSU won every position battle on the field that night.
When you get predictable with concepts on a given down and distance, it's tough to get open vs elite defenders. You run the routes called and do your best to open something up for the secondary reads.
Moore has to play with better ball technique but he is a guy that DCs are going to have to account for. Hill tends to get the best out of guys that start in his room and this is Moore's 2nd season of guidance.

He doesn't even sniff Danario Alexander.

well, technically that's a good thing.
unless you're into that.
not that there's anything wrong with that

Still wish he would have redshirted that first year. Imagine if he was just a sophomore cashing in on this experience.

People said the same thing when Alexander replaced Maclin.

Moore has been through the Fire here, literally. Some won't care for him regardless of what he might ever accomplish here.
Personally, I like the guy. He's stuck it through everything, that's a "true son" for whatever that's worth to some of you.
He has elite talent, with one major problem.
He fixes that problem, and he can do some damage this year.
I'm rooting for him.

Fans will be pretty forgiving of Moore if he has another 1000 yard year and we actually have a good team.
Im no fan of what he did, but also try to remember he was 20 years old at the time. Maybe he handles it differntly now, maybe not, but Im willing to cut him some slack. Time heals wounds.

The only thing that's ever pissed me off about Moore is that serious lack of ball security for a WR. Don't care what else he does, but hold onto the damn ball bro. Squeeze it with both arms like a little kid squeezing his teddy bear while watching "It" for the first time if you have to.

Mason and Johnson had bigger ball security issues than Moore last year.

What did he do that fans will be more forgiving for? Please don't tell me that you are talking about the protest?

Whether you think what he did requires forgiveness or not, you know what he's talking about.
