Missouri recruiting or lack thereof.
In SEC football, my pick for the East division is Georgia.
In a surprise the West division team(unless you are an LSU fan) LSU.
Why? Georgia is a strong physical, talented football team. They have an outstanding QB. The schedule favors them. Their big cross division game against LSU is in Athens.
LSU will surprise as this is the most talented team in Les Miles tenure. Ubber talented in fact. Big, strong and the fastest team LSU has ever fielded. Most pundits do not pick LSU because of the early departure of eleven juniors headed to the NFL. Definitely under the radar.
The schedule favor Alabama. However, most home games against rival would be a good thing. LSU has however won most games there. LSU has won 4-5 in the eighties. 3 of 5 in the 90's. 4-5 in the 2000's. Won 9-6 in 2012 in what was billed the game of the century.
The great and powerful Oz pick for Mizzou is 8 wins for the year.

Really worried about our lack of talent on defense

I love your passive aggressive jabs at MU

I am not passive-aggressive. I call them as I see them.
I happen to like Missouri. Even so, a cursory look at the team from last year shows Franklin as an inconsistent QB, albeit, at times injured.
Lack of depth really killed Missouri.
A lot of starters are back from last year, but it remains to see if they perform as well before they went down with injury. Everyone wants to see a healthy Josey.
However, offseason recruiting did not fill out depth concerns.
Let's see if a healthy Mizzou team performs well.

ugh forgot about him. I think John Gibson could beat him out.

Yes you are.. it's just you, it's hard to explain.
First line of your OP is a negative smear.. it's not that it's not true, it's just the way you said it was persnickety.
Then you give us your predictions for the season, while going on a long LSU rant. To finish with a friendly oh MU will win 8.
Seems a little bit like you're just using us as a platform to quietly bash MU and spew your LSU shite that I'm sure your brothers don't really care about.
But I digress, I'm an arse.

I have no idea why you just added this to your explanation on how you're not passive aggressive.

Lots of Gibson chatter... would be nice if he ends up a plus player.

Well, it's just best we let this sit and see how well the season plays out. --Oz

Meh, I remember you from the TB and I know your intentions. Don't let grayback bother you too much, he's ultra sensitive to what he thinks peoples beliefs are, and it appears he's generally not correct/looking for an argument. I'd like to say it will pass, but it won't.
This year doesn't look great for us in my opinion. I'm holding out hope that we do have some athletes and competitors that will give it everything they've got to make this season great, but I think we've got a few too many weaknesses.
My greatest fear is having this season be a moderate success and having everyone buy back into the whole "We do what we do" thing and making this the norm.
Hopefully the big money people and the people in the AD will see what this is given the recruiting and realize this is our new norm after what I suspect will happen (6-6 or worse) and make the moves that should be made.
That being said, 8 wins or better and I'm back on the Pinkel program.

I didn't take it as a MIzzou slam.
You could be right about LSU - I don't know enough about your team. Doesn't LSU have to play Georgia this year? That could be interesting.
Our lack of depth on defense could get an issue again. Time will tell. I'm hoping Augusta and Crawford can get ready and help out.

Just a guess but maybe mogray was not in favor of adding outsiders to the MU board?
I do not see where Oz said anything that many of you MU posters have even more harsh about?

It's just his M.O. I'm assuming he's had some people be less than honest with him in his life and he brings that into everything else, you learn to deal with it.
Short story, he does that with everyone.

Not sure what ppl being honest or dishonest in my real life has to do with not being in favor of adding outsiders to the board (which I'm not opposed to). That response didn't make much sense.
Oz has repeatedly made lil jabs about our recruiting. It's not that they're not warranted, just think the way he does it is passive aggressive.
Color me shocked that cubbie and others took to it the way they did... truly didn't see that coming.

Oz, I really do like LSU. Liked them before Mizzou moved to the SEC. I just don't see them winning the west this year. Bama and A&M's (assuming JFF plays) schedules are both just too easy. Add to that that LSU's schedule is about as difficult as the others are easy and it makes for a difficult road to hoe to win the west.
I'm also just not sold on Mettenberger. He reminds me in a way of Blaine Gabbert here. Has all the measurables. Size at 6' 5". Big arm. Can make all the throws. The problem is he's just not that good of a quarterback. I could be way off, but that's basically what we had with Gabbert. Take him off the field and have him throw and you would say "Oh my God!" But those things aren't the same as "playing" quarterback.
As for Mizzou, I can see anywhere from 3-9 to 9-3 and truly have no idea which way to lean this year. If pressed, I guess I'd go right down the middle and say 6-6.

And color me shocked that you, once again, have found "passive aggressive" underlying tones in an innocuous statement.
You added a cub reference too, way to buck your trend.
You are the way you are because of something that's happened in your life to make you the insufferable prick you portray yourself as online. Perhaps you should look in to that.

Bama will crush you. And you know it. They're a machine built to crush you. Your program is inferior and will remain that way for eternity. Saban will rule the world and LSU will be condemned to the fires of hell or 11am games on ESPNU, pretty much the same thing.

Naw, it's just mogray and we wouldn't have him any other way. Me and him have gone back and forth way more than that. Don't take it personal oz.

Do you have a waterfall? If the answer is no, then you're not winning the west.
